Count me in. The car is just too much damn fun! Plus, I'd hate to have to get another one (which I would) and start over again...

First car I've ever custom ordered and Built the same week my son was born.
Last 'big block' modular, last straight axle, last glass roof, last car Carroll was involved in development.
None of those things matter when you feel it lope through the shifter while sitting in Recaros and looking out the glass roof---just all around bad ass beast and maybe last of a breed.
Who knows, maybe even last GT500, but yes it's a keeper to me.

The 14 will become part of my estate. There are very few things in life that a Mfg. will custom build for you, this is one of them..

My 10 yr old asked me if he can have "Shelly" when he get old enough. I told him, when the government takes my license, then you can have it. Lol!

I always sell my cars after a couple of years of enjoyment, but not my '14...their is nothing out that will replace it, the power, the looks, and my favorite is having a convertible for the first time..So this will stay with me for a long time!

I had my forever 14 GT500 pictured in my avatar that I had to give up because of reasons I prefer not to discuss. I will be getting another forever 13/14 GT500 within the next year hopefully and that one will not be going anywhere. Still undecided on my next color combo...lol.

I am not the original owner of my '13, but there is no other car I would rather have. There are others I wouldn't mind having in addition to it, but nothing instead of it. So, yeah, I fully intend to keep this car for the rest of my life.

I just bought my 13' this past Dec stock w 6k on it. Added 2.9 Whipple w supporting mods. This is by far my favorite Mustang ever and I've had about 9 over the years. Raw power, perfect idle/driveability, solid handling, sharp modern-retro looks, and simply no equal available. No plans to part with it unless the next GT500 is amazing. If one is ever built of course. Even then...assuming it'll be $80k+ not a value equation.

Agreed! I'll never part with my 13' Vert. Although I'm not the original owner. It was built exactly how I built them online in 2012 when I couldn't quite afford it.

Thank you current GT350 owner who lost his ass in trade to the dealership.

I'm Happy to see how many original owners are planning on keeping the 13-14 Shelby for the years to come. In 2023 I hope to repost this to see any updated numbers! I Thank You, Mr. Shelby for everything that you had completed in your life.....What a Great Man!

Never say never but, NEVER ! I have owned 7 Mustangs through my lifetime and this car is by far the most bad ass mustang I have ever driven. The insane amount of torque in this car, the looks, and the fact that it had Carroll's hands on the development of this car before his passing, makes it a keeper forever.

Assuming I don’t get some expensive disease (like AIDS) the car should be passed on to my oldest boy. Pretty sure that means I need another one to give to my younger one.

These are special cars and hopefully they will be around for many years. They did not build as many as the terminators so hopefully that will not be a factor.
