Ok looking at the pulley. Recommended to get the 3 bolts for the puller to go to pulley but there are no bolt holes. Do they appear after pulling crank bolt? Or do I need the claw type of puller?

M10 X 1.5 X 80MM bolts. These were the one recommended for the puller to get the pulley off.

The lower image shows the holes that would be used for the puller bolts.

Good Luck!

So the front pulley pulls right off exposing the other. Thanks for that

Sorry but there aren’t any holes back there. I cannot see how this front pulley separates

The Kinetik stud seem like a great idea to me. I would like to know if anyone has been using one with a double keyed cobrajet crank and large blower, 4.0 etc. Any real world long term issues with it. Thanks

Ok, the back end of this is actually the block. There are no screws or back end to this pulley. I will need the claw type puller, bummer.

My assumption was that you had an '07 because of the bolts you were mentioning. Since it's not, the 3 prong claw puller should work on your pictured harmonic damper.

BTW - I see your from Colorado, if close to Denver I've had Phil Long Ford do some of my wrenching. They have several SVT techs.

Yeah bought my 03 from them when it was new. I am really close to them. I was not as impressed with them back then. I am sure it is better now.

So while I don't have the puller....I am looking at this Crank Sensor Mounting Boss. There is a bolt through it that is holding on a plastic cover, it looks like. I understand I need to grind this down. Obviously I need to pull the bolt/screw and grind it down to the required amount. Do I just discard the bolt after removal? It is not needed?

I have been to Kinetik and seen there stud setup first hand and it's much better than any bolt. They puts some great engineering into this stud and how it secures the balancer to the crank.

I have to agree with the Kinetik balancer bolt. The only thing that bothers me about their product is the price - $120 plus shipping. A little pricey as the ARP is what - $25??

ARP bolt will be more than adequate to keep the pulley on the crank. its reusable and just as important: affordable.
