Restoring Front Chin Spoiler

Just picked up a a very clean Cobra last weekend. Paint is in really good shape but the front chin spoiler has some scratches which is understandable being as the car is lowered. Has anyone ever taken one of these off hit it with some steel whoop and repainted with some bumper paint? Just wondering how it might turn out? I've done the mirrors on my fox body and they turned out pretty good. Thanks

I did mine with various grades of sandpaper and it came out pretty nice. I think steel whoop might be a little too harsh.

Nice.. I imagine you probably started out with a rougher grade paper to get the deep scratches then went to a higher grit? What did you use as far as paint?

I didn't paint it, I used Eastwood's Rubber, Plastic and Vinyl restore.

I did a write up in the How To section on this. Doubt the picture are still there though.

I followed the write-up in the "how to" section and mine came out great. Much better than spending $450 on an oem part.
