I'll play.

7 quarts, Amsoil ss 10w30, with motorcraft filter.

BTW, I have a oil pressure gauge. Guess what? On a cold start up, I still see 90 psi. No different then when I used rp hps 5w30.

This debate will go on forever. lol

For sure...As mentioned many times already, the modular engines came out originally using a 30-weight oil and the switch to 20-weight was for CAFE standards. Anyone that drives their car harder than using it a grocery-getter should at least use a 30-weight (0W-30, 5W-30, or 10W30).

All that up top being said, after my new Aluminator was built (see sig), I broke it in with Shell Rotella 15W-40 with the higher anti-wear additives. Perfect.

After that, switched to one of Mobil1's finest oils, the European Formula 0W-40, 8 quarts in the Canton pan. Definitely don't granny-drive it. Have an actual gauge on mine as well, and with the Shelby 3V billet-geared HP/HV pump, pressure is around 95+ or so at start. Also use a billet reusable filter.
