ok, we're finally ready to get the ball rolling on this GB. thank you everyone for your patience. and sure enough we've had quite a bit more people say they want to get in as well.

i will start accepting deposits immediately. i wont be able to hit the "GO!" button until everyone's deposits are in. so it may take a week or two. right now we're looking at after the new year till they are in stock and ready to ship. Chinese New Year is in Feb so we have to get moving. the whole country practically shuts down for a month lol.

im going to basically copy/paste the info from my other thread. there's also plenty of FAQ in the initial GB#1 thread which you can find here. enjoy the read lol.
https://www.svtperformance.com/foru...acebronco-heat-extractor-style-hoods.1057046/

for these new hoods, we're redesigning the hoods latch plate design. the way we're doing it you will be able to retrofit it to an existing hood if you so choose.

**********

not only do these hoods weigh a lot less than the heavy stock hood, they help tremendously with cooling. and thats not even the biggest benefit. real advantage to this hood is downforce. the stock hood traps a lot of air under it which causes lift on the front end at high speed. this hood helps drastically cut that down. not to mention the extended lip that was added to the front of the hood to cover the gap helping cut wind resistance. as well as the extended lip at the cowl that helps wind flow better over the windshield in a known turbulent area.

all the hoods are made of 3 separate pieces that are permanently bonded together. you have the top shell, the heat extractor area, and the bottom shell. all three come together and are bonded. im pretty sure this is standard construction for most hoods. these fit just like a stock hood and use the stock mounting brackets and hood latch. no major modification is needed.

you have three choices of hood construction to choose from.

A. Duraflex: a mixture of fiberglass and plastic use to create a very lightweight, yet more flexible material. this hood is lighter than stock. (ill have to weigh one). it comes in a very nice matte black finish that is ready for paint. there are no rough spots that need smoothing or work. the bottom side can be left unpainted as it is very nice and looks like it was painted matte black (if you choose). this is a great option for those who want to paint their hood to match the car

B. 50/50: due to the hood having a top shell and bottom shell we are able to use carbon fiber for the top half and duraflex for the bottom half. the carbon fiber layer has a UV resistant gel coating that does not need to be painted. they do not yellow or get cloudy over time. no need to add another coat of clear and painting is not mandatory. this was THE most popular choice in the previous group buy.

C. 100% carbon fiber: both the top shell and bottom shell are 100% carbon fiber. it is ultra light weight and we advise that you run hood pins on it for extra security. please contact Carlos aka Racebronco to purchase the appropriate set.

being a Group Buy there will obviously be a sizeable discount. you only need to put a 50% deposit down to get in (either 50% or 100%). if you choose the 100% up front option you will receive a rare TF tshirt.

DISCOUNTS: if you have ever purchased a brand new set of wheels from True Forged (directly) and/or are a military active/veteran you will get a $50 discount. if both, $100 discount. i appreciate my customer's business and our vets service and sacrifice :)

*due to the sizeable discounts these prices pertain to "cash payments". ie check or money order. no, we cannot accept a Paypal payment as a gift. that got shut down years ago due to abuse. credit cards are no longer an option but Paypal is. if you go that route, you will need to add 3% to the total. other forms of payment accepted are CASH, personal check, cashiers check, money order and bank wire transfer. **we can take/ship orders from outside the US but payment will only be accepted via bank wire transfer. pm me for details.

SHIPPING: west of the Missisisipiipii is $175 and east of it is $200. you do not need to pay for shipping until you are ready to have it shipped. i still have one hood left from the previous GB due to the customer not being ready to have it shipped yet. as long as the hood is paid for, it can sit here as long as it needs to. *shipping to HI and AK is a bit more. we shipped a CF hood to AK and it was $400 for shipping iirc.

LEAD TIME: if we get this going asap, i think we'll have them ready to ship just after the new year. approximately 3-4 months.

PRICING: as predicted in the last GB the pricing has gone up a little. i was told it would go up even more on the 50/50s and it has, by a bit. since that is the most popular choice im going to discount them even more, out of my own pocket. basically, order a DF or CF hood and get a $200 discount. order a 50/50 and its $250! (the discount covers the cost of shipping)

here are some pics of some of the hoods on some cars, including one seriously modified GT

i will add the names of people who said they want a hood to the list. once the deposit is received, your name will be highlighted green

1. Becools 100% carbon fiber
2. Michael Plackis 50/50
3. 93foxbody duraflex
4. PDM duraflex
5. T3RM1N8TOR
duraflex
6. school boy duraflex
7. *jay* 50/50
9. blackbob04 carbon fiber

11. Wowser 50/50

***i also want to add. this is a non-refundable deposit/payment. if you happen to wreck your car or decide to sell it, please do not pm me asking for a refund. i have to apply all the $ to make this happen and cant afford to be sitting on extra hoods. if you do happen to sell or wreck your car, it will be upon you to find a buyer for your hood. once the hoods are done, i have to pony up the $ to pay off the balance. then wait to be reimbursed by everyone. ONCE the hoods are here, you will have 30 days to send in your balance payment or your hood deposit/hood will be forfeited. i will be posting up when the hoods are on their way which will give you about a one month heads up. ill be contacting each person to get all of your contact info and arrange payment

I'll take a 50/50 please. Been waiting for this new thread since I saw the other one a few months ago. Ecstatic to see it's finally happening

if youre going to paint it, you dont want to just go with the DF hood? or do you plan to leave some cf exposed?

I think I already know the answer, but do these allow for extra clearance on bigger blower pulleys such as whipple 3.4.

when you guys send payments or PMs, please always include your svtp username and your real name (first & last) so i know who you are. it gets real confusing, real fast lol.

i received a check and have to figure out which svtp username it coincides with. no phone number on it, no email address
