So I am still having fitment issues with my current Kenne Bell 3.6 and the BPS K member kit. My Kooks headers and the stock steering shaft made contact in 2 different areas even after fabrication. I then purchased a flaming river shaft and that certainly helped 1 spot, but still makes contact towards the bottom. So I am done denting my header and fabricating the already thin shaft, and ready to purchase a hood this upcoming winter. I really like the Shelby 1000 hood just because the stock look it gives but is the most $$$...So anyone run this hood? If so any pics or any other suggestions where to buy it cheaper than Shelby

Just installed the Shelby 1000 hood. I had bought the hood during a sale that Shelby, which saved me about $300. I had my car delivered to Shelby for the installation and paint work. It turned out great!

I bought during the thanksgiving weekend. Their sales vary from year to year, but this past deal was a rebate after purchase via gift card.

Shelby told me that the standard stripes wouldn’t work. I wasn’t prepared to remove the stripes and restripe. So I took a chance. The roof stipes worked at the back part of the hood. I bought the standard hood stripes to make the front of the hood work. The stripes don’t completely fold under the hood, but it still looks Stock.

I would say your best bet is to spend the money and get the 1000 hood, or do like a cervini cal hood

I've got the Cervini Cobra R hood. Fitment is ok for an aftermarket hood.

I’m debating the Cobra R or 4” cowl. Has anyone ever seen a Cobra R on a black/red stripe? Ive been looking everywhere for a pic and am beginning to think that combo doesn’t exist.
