Trying to find oem, or oem spec red GT350 emblems but am having no luck. Ford says they discontinued due to lack of sales. Ebay is littered with aftermarket ones that are much larger than the oem ones.

Any suggestions on where to find these?

They were discontinued for excess demand. Ford didn't want them getting into the hands of Non-R owners so they pretty much cancelled any outstanding orders and are keeping them hard to obtain. You can only order them with the entire deck lid panel or entire front grille, and it will cost you a pretty penny

Looks like the grille is $750ish and the trunk decklid insert is $1,100ish. I'll have to check if you can the plain oem ones and my painter might be able to do something for me.

wow ... that is pricey ..... same thing with the OEM rear R wing .... Close to $13,000 ..... Ford wants to keep a R car a R and the GT350's a GT350

As they should IMO. Although, I wouldn't mind the spoiler since its functional...

I bought the red calipers and liked the red center mark of the R steering wheel .... with my GT350 being red it really stands out better ....... going to R labels and a R wing is prob going to far ..... though I do like the wing ..... if someone makes a aftermarket wing that fits the stock bolt holes of the GT350 .... Id be on the fence in buying it

Ford Parts and Service list price for the '15-'17 GT350 R rear spoiler is $10,287.17 and not 13k. Autonation of WBL has it for $6,789.53 (not that it is going to change anyone's buying decision but that's where it is priced as of now).

And yes, there are aftermarket R style spoilers that utilize the same holes as the factory R spoiler. I have one from Carbon2Carbon and the fitment is a perfect match.

Tob,

Did you buy an 'R' specific trunk lid to mount the 'R' spoiler or did you have to drill a regular one ?

If ADM's/free colonoscopy wasn't the norm that would absolutely be true.

I found some $10k over sticker, if I was one of these people doing wanting to do R brake calipers, spoilers, ect, on a normal 350 I would have just pulled the trigger on that.

Yeah, but there are aftermarket shops that are producing knockoff copies of R parts.

That would make more sense. If you're going to be plunking down a ton of cash just to make a standard GT350 look like an R, just get an R! By adding knockoff parts, not only are you basically paying a markup after the fact, but you're also devaluing your GT350 and losing money on the parts you bought. Tasteful or not, modding devalues a car, unless you're lucky enough to make a P2P sale to someone who appreciates the mods and is willing to pay extra for them. But how often does that happen? If you just buy an R to start with, you get the look you're trying to imitate, you get the extra performance, you get the genuine parts, and you get better and retained resale value. It's almost a no-brainer, except that, markup or not, Rs are hard to come by.

Add tech pack mods for some too. Depreciation should be better as well.

GT Premi- are you really suggesting Tob has devalued his car?

Unfortunately. His car looks great, but mods are mods. Everybody knows that, most of the time, mods devalue a car. Why do you think so many guys put their cars "back to stock" when they get ready to sell them? Because they want to get top dollar for it.

That or they know they can sell the parts individually for more or use them on their next car.

Mods are not mods. In fact this thread is a good example of that. The discontinued, genuine FP blank panel Tob has probably adds more to the value than it cost. When I've bought used cars I look for ones with the specific, high quality aftermarket parts I want because you usually get a discount on the parts, but not always.

Now, when a person who contributes to a community like this one as Tob has, building social credibility, and when that same person picks unique, high quality, tasteful mods AND obviously had some insider knowledge and connections, they add even more value to the car with their mods. sometimes more than the sum of the mods because it just makes the car "right".

Hey all,

I have a GT350. Someone tried stealing my deck lid GT350 emblem and damaged it in the process.

I was fortunate to find an OEM front grill GT350 emblem. Dimensions are identical and emblem looks the same.

Does anyone know if the mounting is the same for the front grill vs. deck lid?
