Seat Options for 2011 Mustang

So here's my predicament: I currently own an 11 GT Premium with leather interior. The leather is great but I have always had a soft spot for the Recaro seats. Problem is, S550 recaros won't work w/o modification to the brackets and all OEM s197 recaros will cause issues with the air bag light. Ford Racing used to produce Recaro's for 11-12 mustangs but they have been discontinued and are impossible to find on the used market.

I'm wondering if anyone has upgraded their seats on a 2011 mustang. Just trying to figure out what options are out there that would allow me to keep my airbags working and not completely break the bank.

Only other option I see is to re-skin the seats with something like the VPI kits, but if I'm going to drop 1000+ on skins and foam then I might as well just break down and find some recaros.

Any information is helpful. Thank you in advance!

upgrade them to whatever you wish, use a rely to turn off the airbag light, and hope you never need the side airbag is what I've seen done the most.

Finally back on the East Coast
Or you can get TMI seat covers front or full interior and you will retain your side airbags and some of their options will reshape your front seats to imitate recaro style.

Thats basically what i have, just not installed yet...Hopefully will be done over the winter.

I haven't heard of airbag lights going off after the recaro install.
If so, Watson sells an airbag bypass resistor that will turn the light off.

Another option is to get Corbeau seats and resistors for the airbag light.
