Who has put them on car? How do you like? And what brand is the best? Also does aftermarket hood or oem matter?

I have redline on my 08 and love it. I had MRT on originally but they ust the hinge and that got in the way of my strut cover. Yes it matters if it is stock or aftermarket hood. The aftermarket hoods are usually fiberglass which is a lot heaver so need a stronger strut cylinder.

Oh ok. Are the red lines directly bolt on? My 11 shelby is oem hood but my 01 saleen is a carbon fiber one. Super light weight

I never thought I cared about these until I opened up my Buddy's hood with them and it just stayed there! so nice ! Idk why, but always seem have shit in hand when opening up the hood too.. will be really nice not to mess around with the prop rod.

Just put redline on mine about a week ago, absolutely love them

Easiest install, literally 5 minutes no drilling. Just need a 1/2" and 10mm socket and you are good to go!

If you have an aftermarket hood be careful. I've read reports of struts causing the hood to bow.

I have a CF hood on mine and bought "lighter" struts but they were so light it would barely hold the hood up :/

Went back to the prop rod, but I do miss having hood struts

That's my worry on my 01 cause it is all carbon fiber and don't want that issue

Redline on my car, stock hood. I kept the prop rod for originality in a box, but I wouldn't go back.

Redline Tuning Hood Struts for sure! They are better than OEM Quality!

If you are at Mustang Week or Carlise, they usually have some great deals and will install them free of charge!

redline here on the stock hood. Agree that it is how it should have come from the factory. As a bonus, the hood is now held at a greater angle when open than with the prop rod, making access a little better on as you get closer to the cowl.

REDLINE QUICKLIFT PLUS Since 2014, work perfectly, as of others mentioned no drill. Quick install. They haven't slowed down any, nice quality. Paid 89.99 at CJ for them.

So I have a suggestion for you LT48. Remove your factory trunk struts and install a prop rod. LOL. It reminds me of my 70 Boss 302 which had a trunk prop rod...

wow. even as a kid in the early 80s, i dont remember anyones car having a trunk prop rod lol. never even knew that existed lol.
