Been taking a look at these also.................they offer adj. and non-adj. versions (adj. have rod ends).

Exactly what does that adjustment do on these arms if you have them on your car?

If I go for these along with the K-member that I'm planning to get soon I want to just get them one time so I need info to make the right decision. Thanks.

Tony,

Do yourself a favor and call Kelly at BMR. He’ll take the time to answer your questions and will work with what you want to accomplish with your build.

He’s taken a lot of time to build my suspension and also helped me to build it the right way without wasting money. He’ll offer a discount if the volume is appropriate. Don’t forget to drop this board and tell him I suggested that you call him.

My email to Kelly:

"Next questions are on the control arms. The adjustable arms what exactly is
that adjustment for? I usually street drive the car but on occasion do track
days on road courses with the occasional run down the drag strip. Which type
do you recommend adj or non adj. version of your frt control arms? What
about the ball joint height (19mm standard height or tall height for my use
of the car?)"

His answer:

"Do not acquire the tall ball joints. They are more hassle than what they
provide for benefit.

As for the adjustable VS non-adjustable....they simply perform better. The
adjustment is based on the ability to fine tweak the alignment with the rear
slotted mounts. You can also adjust the length of them, before the initial
install. The instructions state to set them oem length. If you are road
coursing, I usually tell people to go about .300" longer....if drag racing I
advise about .300" longer....for a mix of performance and street I advise
stock length (as the instructions state)

This is not a part that you want to adjust the rod-end after installation."

I also had a post about this possible issue after switching control arms but Kelly feels this is not a problem anymore after '11 model cars:

Kelly's email to me after I showed him my post:

Hi Tony,

I have never seen that issue with anything other than 2011 Model Year Mustangs.

Ok, I'm close to pulling the trigger possibly on these but I would like feedback from those that have purchased and installed them.

Basically, did you go adjustable or non-adjustable and the reason(s) why you chose what you chose?

Most important for me is NVH....let me know how that is with your choice of BMR control arms. I only want to buy these once so I would like input on this so I can make an informed decision to purchase. Thanks.

He recommended stock height ball joints instead of the tall ones but he did recommend the adjustable arms which has a rod end instead of a poly bushing in the non adjustable arms.

Non adjustable. Nvh is hardly noticable but i have headers. I dont regret them at all. Great products.

Looks good under there. Do you have your splash shields put back on? If you did how did you fit them (BMR says OE splash shield don't fit back on like stock so modding is needed and probably lots of zip ties).

If you’re concerned about NVH then use stock motor mounts when swapping the k member. Tob turned me on to Maximum Motorsports for their k member. No weight reduction, but It has other benefits. Good luck with your decision.

I was told stock engine mounts don't fit BMR K member. I like the MM K member but the whole reason I'm planning to do these parts was to drop some weight so no MM K member for me.

I'm not super concerned about NVH but I don't want to add these parts and the car ends up being a pain to drive around on the street, a little NVH is fine but need to keep some civility in there from the car.
