Local guy invited me to come out for a couple runs. Had a couple scary moments so I had to be gentle on the hits or start in lower RPMs. But it was all around fun. Did a couple 40s (2nd for me, 1st for him), 50mph (3rd for me due to grip, not sure for him) and a 60mph (3rd for me and 2nd for him). Safe to say no more street tire fun for me.

P1sc, exhaust and tune on my car. HCI 11.5 comp 383 stroker with drag radials on CCW wheels for him.

Nice runs. I think it's more fun to reel someone in and pass them the way you were instead of just leaving them off the hit.

Well I certainly wasn't trying to be cool lol. After that first pull I realized hammer down on 3 wouldn't work, so I would ease into it and it would still lose traction into 3rd.

Great runs, and the video is quality!

E

Thanks. Nothing like a lot of videos out there, just glad it was daytime.

I got nervous for a sec..... 2017 and people still recording vertically??? Then, hope restored on humanity!

Ol' camrow put up a pretty decent fight, given the circumstances.

very nice runs! what kind of RWHP are you pushing? I know that setup even with 9lbs makes incredible power.

~575whp. P1sc is mellow.

I will redeem myself next time. When I uploaded it to the computer I said Fak!

I would think at 575rwhp, and with a centri no less, street tires are perfectly acceptable. Maybe you just need a stickier tire (MPSS for example) in 305 trim?

My 305/35-20 MT Street Comps held a 150 shot (605rwhp) in second gear on a 3.73 car. Either way, good runs and get some better rubber under that thing!

You must have some great roads for traction like that on skreet tires...

Tires are in good shape, 295-35-20. I expected them to hook better. These roads are normally travelled by trucks, it was dusty with minor gravel but overall road was in good shape. My 305-40-18 MTs should do much better. I meant to ask him if he was bringing DRs for the runs but forgot. Had I known I might have put mine on.
