I still occasionally ride my '97 Trek Y11. It was one of the first carbon frame bikes. Back in the day it was around $4,000 with all the add-on components and upgrades. I wonder what it's worth now?

not at my post...
Ktm. Cool! I've really thought about a new ktm 300xc I love 2 strokes and the reviews on those are great. I've taken my RM250 on some slow single track trails that's all around me but it doesn't like to be lugged around. I put on a gnarly pipe 8 oz flywheel weight and it helped bring some power in lower but It's way more of a MX bike than enduro.

I wish that was mine, have an 01 CR125R. I definitely want more bike, but not in the cards at the moment, between car projects and will be putting a new motor in my f-boat soon.

Mt Bike? No
But I was into BMX bikes when I was a kid. Had a beautiful GT Mach 1 team model with all kids of goodies (3 piece cranks, titanium handlebars and seat stem, lightweight aluminum wheels and spokes... etc).
Then....someone stole it.

I always wanted a 2 piece Auburn frame though from the early 90s.
This is the exact frame I've always lusted after.

I still have my '91 Auburn CR-20RX that my parents bought for me when I was a kid. Think it cost $550 at the time. I can say I felt like a rock star on that thing. Had other kids asking me all kinds of questions about the two-piece chromoly / aluminum frame and bright green paint.

Check craigslist or search some of the mtb forums for your model, they should have at least a few versions for sale.

I used to ride a Giant Cadex CFM-3 about 10 years ago, it was a interesting combo of carbon's springiness, but not nearly as harsh as a modern carbon hardtail.

Yea wish I never got rid of it....I think I let it go for $75 when I was 16 and got my license...had poon on the brain!

I somehow managed to hold on to my last GT interceptor. I think its a 96? It was up in the rafters in my parents garage. I'd love to clean it up and make it some cool garage art.

I recently rebuilt my first mountain bike that is from the late 90s. It is cool to look and it does a good job of sparking memories, but it sucks to ride! It now is more 'art' in the bike room as an homage to the past.

This cracks me up. Hutch, Auburn, Redline, GT, Robinson, ELF, all so familiar to me. I haven't talked bikes for years, but myself or some of the neighborhood buds had all the above at one time or another. I used to race BMX 91-93 in the upper midwest.
Going back even further, my older Brother raced BMX back when the big bike names were, Panda, Scorpion, Torker, Diamond Back (harry larry), SE, to name a few. My dream bike when I was a youngster was the SE PK Ripper.

I still have my last bmx bike hanging in the garage... S&M Holmes. I'll have to get a pic on here.
Sorry OP not mountain bikes but definitely vintage bike related.

Here we go. My bike is identical but the frame is green. BTW that bmx museum website is awesome! A lot of good memories.

I used to have a PK Ripper. I wonder if I have any old pics of it anywhere. I traded some kid a bag of change for it lol.

The frame was cracked in the rear from the crank hitting it. Had my uncle weld it up and was good go. I don't remember what happened to it...
