low compression short block. direct replacement block for 03/04 Cobra owners. savings of approximately 100# since it is an aluminum block - same rotating assembly. 8 bolt Kellogg crank, Manley rods, Mahle pistons. Ford Racing oil pump included.

So it's stock @8.6:1?

Thought they were all 10:1 for some reason.

Ford Racing built 2 versions of the 4.6 aluminator. a SC version (8.6:1) for 03/04 Cobra owners and a NA version (10:1) for the Mach 1 crowd. While the stock Mach 1 motor was aluminum the only Cobra part within was the 8 bolt Kellogg crank and then only with the 5 speed car. rods were not Manley and pistons were not Mahle
