Just curious when the 2018s become available for order at the FORD dealerships. I noticed they are still getting in new 2017s from the factory this late in the year. I know with Dodge you can order the 2018 Hellcats starting in July because I just ordered one. All the Ford dealers ive called have no idea and know nothing about the 2018 GT350!

I guessing Fords production year starts later then Dodge. But I would still think the dealers should at least have an idea. When where the 17s available last year? Also if yo order one how long does it typically take to come in? Thanks ...

You can order a 2018 GT350 now, and have been able to for a few weeks.

The 2018 Focus RS's started production 07/31, I imagine the GT350s would be similar.

@13COBRA

Nope. October 2nd, then they will shutdown over the winter and pick up in February/March.

If you order a 2018 right now how long does it usually take to come in?

Depends if it gets built before or after the shutdown.

I wouldn't count on having one until March/April.

Get ready for insane mark ups on the 2018. I saw on mustang 6g that ford is reducing the amount of months of production. I believe the production now will only be 7 months for the Gt350. The R was less I think.

Kinda dumb. Especially since there selling so well. I hope it isn't this stupid collectors mentality that's going around. (ie. Dodge Demon).. Just build them to be sold and driven. I hate seeing only a few cars produced for the year and cars being over priced and then purchased just to collect dust. I buy car to drive them!

I'm guessing the 2018s are exactly the same as the 17s?? I haven't heard of any change to the 350! Anyone hear anything new?

Colors are the only change plus after April or so the federal mandate kicks in that requires all cars to have a rear camera which means you won't be able to get an R model with the audio/nav delete at some point.

They'll just stick the display screen in the rearview mirror.

I don't think that's correct. Ford is making the Electronics package mandatory on GT350R vehicles produced after April of 2018.

Interesting for sure. Thanks. I wish the dealers would mark these cars up like they do. It would be nice too see them sold at MSRP. But in reality the non R is the better car for the street anyway. I hate someone to come along and steel those Carbon fiber wheels or get then damaged hitting a curb or something,.. Its good it will finally get a back up camera.

I noticed you can still get the GT350s with out the electronic package as well right now. There's a couple 2017s for sale online with out the toggle switches and bigger center screen? Id definitely would want it if I would get one.

I said it a while back that the '18 GT350s would be a short run. Ford expanded '17 production to make up for the abbreviated '18 production. I predict there will only be about 300 '18 Rs built, if that, and between 1500 and 2000 regular GT350s. Markups will probably be worse than ever.

It does seem like there are a lot 2017s pouring into the dealerships right now. My local dealer just sold a 2017 Avalanche grey GT350 now they just got a 2017 R in stock and they have a Red GT350 on the way in next week. Lol.. I hate the crazy mark ups on the R. I d probably buy it at msrp if it weren't for that! Oh well.. I guess I'm going with the Hellcat for now. Get that paid off and maybe then get a GT350 or buy then a GT500 to keep the Kitty company!

Car manufacturers want profit. The main balance they have to strike here is CAFE standards. Not sure if "R" production is also limited by wheel production, but I suspect it.
