Nice Camaro. I like your color choice. Did you consider a 6th gen?

I looked at one actually. Dont get me wrong it was nice and I absolutely LOVED the interior.

But not the price lol. Lowest I could find one for was $40k

I got this one for half that

You couldn't find a used 6th gen for less than $40K? How hard did you look?

I wasnt looking for used 6th gens.. If I went 6th it would have been new.

Decided to go with the 5th gen. Happy with my choice. Dont get me wrong the 6th gen auto I drove pulled like a freight train, but I went with the 6 speed manual instead and I'm happy with my decision.

Hell even if I went 6th gen used I'd still spend over 10 grand more than I spent on this. And with this, I can afford to mod it, and the nissan for now :)

FWIW new 6th gens around here are being heavily discounted with incentives from GM and Dealer. Dealer near me is selling 2SS cars with dual mode quad exhaust, big brembos for 39, without dual mode exhaust its 37K. Those are some pretty substantial discounts.

If I were doing it, the dual exhaust is a must. They sound good.

Also, the big brembos really aren't needed unless you are making a nasty track car but at that point you have other serious concerns.

That 5th gen can still run its ass off. I would do gears ASAP, the wide ratio 6060 trans in that car really needs more gear out back to keep the motor in the sweet spot, would do 4.10s or 3.73 minimum. I would do headers/exhaust, BTR cam, rick crawford ported LS3 intake manifold. That's a fun combo!
