for those who've asked "how much", im still working on that at the moment, like right now lol. but here's a link to the initial GB. so you can get an idea on the pricing. im trying to keep the pricing close but also trying to recoup my investment here at the same time. not only did i pony up $2k for the mold but i also "bought" Rons original hood in order to make the mold from it (by giving him a new hood). the only time i make any decent $ off these is when theyre sold at regular retail price.

actually, i think it was more than $2k. they came back and asked for more $$ for the mold since they had to make a 3rd mold for the louvered area. i dont even recall the #s any more.

Looks like the carbon looks different in different lighting; the car on the ring was in the sun so it appeared lighter in color I guess.

Def. tempted.

Do these hoods come ready to bolt on or do we need to modify the hood latch area to fit the hood? I would be interested if it comes ready to go.

to be totally real yes it does need to be modified to some extent to function 100%. originally i used a file to cut just a little bit down to fit in better, no big deal. this functioned great. i did however swap to aerocatch pins recently. to me they are just safer on any aftermarket light weight hood. plus i do 1/2 mile runs that get up to 150+ so i wasnt taking any chances. if i didnt use the car this way i would have left it alone with about 10 mins of filing on the latch and been confident

we're going to redesign the latch plates so i dont think you will need to do any modifying with the next batch. i can also sell people the updated version of the plates if they want to switch theirs out. just for cost of parts.

Can you guys please put me down for one of these hoods as well? Money in hand. I've been trying to get my hands on a hood that actually helps for a while now.

You can put me down for a 50/50. Also curious if you suggest pins or the aerocatch things just for added safety since it's lighter

How easy is it to paint over carbon fiber and will it look ok afterwards?

Just not sure if I'll like the carbon fiber look.
