If cost isn't really a factor, I would recommend turbos for a street car. The terminator I have now is my second turbo charged cobra. The potential to make power with less headaches is what I like the most about a good turbo kit. When I had a supercharged car I had problems with the belt slipping that I didn't like. I think it really boils down to how you want to make your power. You can make the same power with either turbos or a big blower but the turbos put much less strain on the motor. I prefer the acceleration to be more gradual so that there is less strain on the driveline also. Either way, good luck with your build.

The is awesome info guys. I have been trying to figure out if I want to go to a TVS or the Hellion twin turbo/compound system. It will mean that I have to upgrade the fuel system anyway but I wanted to see the options of the two. Right now I am on all stock parts except a pulley, CAI and a tune to net me 470hp/tq which is good but I want more. I owned a 88 Thunderbird turbo coupe and that turbo car was fun with a couple little upgrades on that 2.3L engine. So with that in mind I have been looking at the twin Hellion kit for my cobra. Would you guys be running the supercharger with the twin kit or just go with a Sullivan intake?

More info is needed. Is this a drag car? Street car? Autocross? Road course?

What is a "beast"?

What fuel type?

Are you planing on staying manual?

Turbo setups will cost more money and have a totally different power band than bolting on a larger blower. However, the LARGE blowers have headaches of their owns in destroying lowers and cranks.

You need to REALLY sit down and think what this car is, so many people try to make street cars with a 6 speed that make 1200rwhp and they hate it and sell it.

Haha true that i just did that and look what i had to end up doing

Yeah, I have no idea what I want, and was wondering if I could get some advice from you guys. I would love to go turbo, but if it isn't worth it than I will go bigger supercharger. I just wanted some insight from guys that have already done it. :)
Go turbo and never look back superchargers are a thing of past man your block will thank you and no kb whipple gen 500 or vmp will come close to you and defenetly get a th400 on the way too i tried 1200 with a 6 spd and its pointless
