The wheels are terrible but I have a feeling after rebates and some of these sitting on lots, you'll get it down to low 30s.

Based on the current pricing. I'd expect $32-33K to be the low point. They've definitely gotten much more expensive.
for comparison:

And I just built a medium optioned 2018 Premuim. It was $48K and some change. At that price you are closed to used HC money.

Damn.

That's what 13/14 GT500s are going for now.

True...I keep telling myself no, though I don't stop looking at used 500s and Hellcats. My 14 GT will be paid off in 2 years. I have a vortech V2 T-trim for it, should just try to be content and pay it off then really go nuts.

Love what they have done except that front end though.

coyote FTW, at this point all 2012 and earlier GT500s should be burned to the ground. There is no really no reason for them to exist anymore.

Wonder if the internals will be the same as the 15+ as far as holding power

LOL @ Ford's MSRP of $38k for a bare bones Mustang GT with the only option being the 10 speed auto.

Well, my 04 lariat had $32k sticker, to replace it is almost $55. WTF?

the only good thing about the trucks is if you wait to the end of the year you can get 13-15K off sticker

I would buy this in 10AT form over 6MT.

Also figured it would be at least 445hp; but nice job Ford at 460hp with the DI.

Where the hell have you been?

That was my issue. My one option 16 GT automatic stickered around $35, and after discounts was $29.1K. I don't see that happening with the new car. And in pictures it's pretty fugly, especially the base GT wheels.

Glad to finally see some numbers. The new design still does not look quite right to me.
I agree...I prefer the 15-17 front over the 2018 but you can't argue those numbers. Finally a stock Mustang GT that can rival a new stock base model Corvette!

Anyone else seeing an $80k msrp for the new "GT500" with a couple options?

Ford will want to remain competitive in pricing and performance with the likes of the new ZL1 and Hellcat's. If a few options throw a new model GT500 in the $80K+ range their price point won't be competitive. I could see the base model starting at $62-63K and topping out at $75K for a fully loaded GT500.
Just my 2¢

I'll stick with my 14. Most here with built S197's will wind up running into some schmuck that thinks his new 460 HP GT is "tha shizzle" only to have his feelings hurt when an older model spanks that rear.
