I got mine the other day called the dealer the next morning and was told they only had one and it was going to the guy that bought his car a year after I did. Not sure how that happened but he is in a car club with one of the guys at the dealership.

I called the dealer on Monday, airbag arrived on Tuesday and was installed today (Wednesday). In and out in 20 minutes, no problems.
Note: The airbags for the 2013-14 GT500 replace the entire airbag module including the cover with the cobra. The 2012 and before just replace the airbag inflator.
At least that is what the Service Manager stated.

Probably SOP for everyone, but am dealing with an issue from airbag replacement. Son's car, 2008 with Edelbrock SC and 3.73 gears. Dealer flashed computer, before raising the hood and wiped out tune and killed something in the DBW throttle body.
Offered him a throttle body for $540 cost of the part.
We have restored the tune, but car is still dead due to P2105 and P2112 codes.
Be aware tuned and modded cars are at risk with the airbag replacement.
Looking for someone to rebuild throttle body.

Had my car inspected last week at the Ford dealership and they mentioned the drivers airbag recall. When they went to replace it, the airbag cover had the Mustang emblem on it. I said wrong one guys. They suggested that I had placed the Cobra emblem on myself until they went back to parts to check.
3 days later they had the correct airbag.

I received the recall notice and have to call next week to see if there is a local authorized dealer somewhere in Italy or Germany. Car gets shipped back to CONUS later this year. The shipper indicated I may have issues sending the car if there is an active safety recall on the vehicle.

This is no situation to take lightly.

I work in the industry and have known of plenty of cases where unfortunate death has taken place.

Last one I heard of the young lady in a vehicle I will not disclose on this forum bled to death due to shrapnel slicing through her neck.

The accident didn't kill her, impact didn't kill her, lack of retraint didn't kill her. Shrapnel killed her.

Thanks for feedback on this. Gives me pause about the issue. What about removing them and replacing with nothing? Is their any weight to these things? I would rather lose weight than eat shrapnel.

Weight savings isn't close to keeping your safety.

Ordered my replacement in April. Arrived in May. Finally got it installed last week. Other than turning the keys over to the dealership, the process was painless. The swap itself takes less than 30 minutes.

Talked to my dealership this past week, they had to order the part. Part # was FODR3Z-63043B13-AD on my invoice.

If you are going in for the driver recall, make sure they HAVE the part. My service write said it was in stock. I asked him to please confirm and he discovered it was a special order. If I wouldn't have asked him to confirm, he was ready to schedule me for a drop-off and then would have discovered it was a special order when the car was in the service bay.
