Seats that sit lower in my Cobra

Hey guys. I am over 6 feet and even though I love the seats in the car, I need seats that are a couple inches lower. I have seen Fox body owners stuffing in 2012-2015 Mustang seats in their cars and they sit way lower then stock. Has anyone swapped these seats into our cars?

I used 01 cobra seats in my fox, the fox tracks will let the seat sit lower .
You will need to fabricate a bit , to get them bolted to the seat., i had to make spacers for the bolts to seat .

I want to put seats lower into my Cobra not a fox.

Would swapping to a manual seat track lower the stock seats enough? To be honest, I am the only person who drives my car so I am not moving the seat at all.

I am aware you want to do this to your Cobra .
The tracks from the fox , sit lower than the Cobra tracks .
All of the linkage and motors of the power seats , make the seat sit higher .

Kenny Brown makes, or made mounting brackets that let the driver seat slide back further and also a little lower. I have a set but haven't installed them yet. You have to drill the floorboard so not really looking forward to doing that. I have seen someone put 05 seats in a New Edge, but it was far from bolt in and the seats were packed in there. I think it might have been a youtube video actually. If you want to get low and don't mind a harder\manual seat - some Corbeau's are the easiest route.

So ashleyroachclip, you have swapped manual fox tracks into your cobra? How much did it lower you in the car?

If you had read my post , you would know I speak from experience.
But in case , yes I have and I sit at the stock fox height with 01 Cobra seats in my fox .
As I said , I needed to make a couple of spacers (aluminum round stock from an old small block ford alternator ) and longer bolts .

And just so you k ow , the floor plan is the same on your cobra as a fox , the dash is the same height etc, the difference is at the rockers outward, otherwise they are the same .
I might be a 1/2 inch at most higher from stock but I did not measure with my high priced tape measure , just my old school dumb pass .
