Born and raised in DFW for over 30 years and it was once a great place to live.

Now that all these people have moved here, traffic is awful, you have to pay outrageous tolls to get any where in a timely manner, and the housing market for a buyer is depressing.

I've actually thought about relocating out of the state because every major city is just as bad now.

I live in San Antonio, but raised in D/FW. I absolutely love Texas, but traffic is becoming a nightmare the more people move here. There is constant construction here from the influx of people from other states and undocumented immigrants causing San Antonio to become overcrowded. I grew up in Grand Prairie.

Texas does not need obama voters. if a revolution ever comes the liberals will be the first ones shot. If you lean conservative, like guns, women, and cars we can find a spot for you most likely

I'm planning on returning to Texas (DFW or Arlington area) once I retire from the Marine Corps in less than 4 years. See some familiar screen names in this thread.

I grew up in Mineral Wells about 50 miles west of FT Worth. Speaking on the single man perspective. FT Worth isn't a bad place to be always something to do and a lot of concerts are always going on if you like county music. Aside from that there are several active car clubs and various meets on the weekends. Also Ennis isn't to far away if you want to run the 1/4 and northstar is very close and always well prepped for the 1/8th.

Looking at Wentzville's statistics I would say you might want to visit Ft Worth before making a decision like that. Is that your only option? I'd suggest South lake, flower mound etc.

It's not a for sure thing yet. Yeah Wentzville is very small. Everything here kind of runs together though all the way from the city of STL to Wentzville which is 43 miles west. The other option would be Omaha. I will be visiting to work there for a week here and there before any actual move so that would give me a chance to check it out first. Thanks for the input on where to look. Keller looks pretty cool to me and would be close to work and FW downtown
