It would've been nice if dude actually knew how much weight was taken out. How the heck do you do something like this and not record the before and after weights??? $70K for the conversion, though. That's a lot of loot, but not nearly as bad as I originally thought!

I'm with you. It seems suspect....The main reason for changing over to carbon fiber is weight reduction. Was it not significant enough to justify $70k? lol, probably not. Probably cheaper just to add more HP.

Leno says it is between 400-600 pounds lighter, not sure if that is true.

I want to do all the plastic trim, hood, and rear spoiler for ease of cleaning and looks.

Jay was guesstimating based on what the guy said about how much weight they lost on a Hellcat. I wouldn't put any stock in that estimate at all. All GT350s have aluminum front fenders and hood. There's probably less than 10 lbs total weight saved from those 3 parts. There's a lot of weight to be saved on everything else, though. Guessing between 300 and 400 lbs would still be generous. It's probably between 250 and 300.

So, on a base R, that would be a curb weight between 3350 and 3400 lbs. If it would truly be 600 lbs weight reduction, where do I sign??? 526HP in a sub-3100 lbs Mustang? Yes, please!

Can't lose 300 lbs. Can't even lose 100 lbs, not without walking around looking like I'm fighting pancreatic cancer.
