I'm in no way blaming DW or my Tuner.

I installed DW300s in my stock hat after my stock pumps started going south after almost 6 years of faithful service including 3 years in E85.

Have you ever seen this type of failure of the stock hat, I think the pumps created to much pressure with a boost a pump installed and burst the plug, any opinions on why this failed would be greatly appreciated.

Hi.

I also have those pumps and a 20 volt Kenne bell Bap. The setup blew my drivers side fuelrail of the injectors I had gas all over my garage and engine. Jon Lund has it all running perfectly now. But good to know what these pumps are capeable of. Jon Lund does not like them.

LOL - that wasn't caused by the pumps. That was caused by YOU forgetting to bolt the fuel rail down, genius.

Mine burst in the tank and was just spraying fuel in the tank car died obviously because no fuel was getting into the line.

So a revised tune if using a BAP with these pumps would be in order they are not drop in and go with extra voltage.

Wouldn't the high flow pumps being over driven by a BAP be too much for a plastic housing? I would think you'd need larger diameter fuel line for the extra flow to prevent too much pressure in the fuel hat/unit.

Isn't that port glued in? What pressure was your system dialed in at?

I chose not to install the BAP with my 2.8LC upgrade. I pulled the pump replacing it with a Fore triple hat. I also pulled the fuel lines with -10 feed and -8 return from Brown & Miller (tested to 500 psi), going into their billet fuel rails and a F4i regulator.

I think I went overboard with the fuel lines, but I only wanted to work on this install once.

Hi!

Well sorry for my bad English.

I had a set of Bullit cams and the dw300 pumps installed last year, the car was then tuned for the new setup and endet up with 732 Hp and 868 Newton m Tourqe. After driving the car for a few days I started getting some problems in stop and go city traffic, the idle was very unstable and sometimes the engine would stop. The guy that made the Tune is a 9 hours drive away and has a to long waitinglist, so I decidet to go with Jon Lund.

Some of the first tune revisions had a setting that made the fuelpumps make to much pressure, and the fuelrail just popped of and fuel was sprayed all over the engine. I had to BEND the part that holds the fuelrail back into the right position before I could put it back together.

Jon Fixed the tune and now all is running perfectly.

And I had some bps Fuelrails installed so no matter what, that will never happen again. Maybe my next mod will be a stronger Fuelhat it Looks like it is a weak link to LOL

Regards

I have had these pumps along with VMP dual Boosters and Fore Fuel rails in my car for 2 years with zero issues. I didn't gain a lot with them over the stock pumps but they did give me just enough extra to have a safety margin over stock.
