I was going to make a joke, but I'm quite sure it is an exaggeration. He is literally probably getting double the frame rate going from a 970 to a 1080ti :D

Honestly my 970 kept up great at 1080p 60fps with 95% of games. I did get lucky it, as it overclocked extremely well for being on air, 1650 core. The 1080ti is an absolute beast! I do need to decide on a monitor soon though, as I'm still at 1080p right now. I just benched a few games it is more than double in a few LMAO, and my new ti doesn't even seem to oc to well.

For real! I've been debating on selling both of my 1070s for $400-500 apiece (thanks mining!) and picking up a 1080 Ti myself.

Sell them now,or wait a month or so, gpu mining not very profitable at the moment with bitcoins current turmoil with segwit on august 1st. ( I have a 1070 mining rig and might build a 1080ti mining rig) Its interesting as 1070 and 1080 prices have gotten out of control because of mining, but 1080ti prices haven't been affected much. I think its because most people see mining benches for the 1080ti and see it doesn't do well mining a single coin, but it does great at dual mining, especially with a lower tdp set.

it doesn't have to be a dedicated computer but it is usually more energy efficient to make a dedicated mining rig.

Mining is the process of validating transactions on the blockchain ( A digital ledger on which bitcoin is built) the mining is done by solving a series of complex math problems, usually done with a GPU or an ASIC (application-specific integrated circuit). Bitcoin is no longer mined with GPU's but rather with ASIC's. But there are lots of other profitable coins to mine that do still work with GPU's. When you mine on your hardware you are rewarded for solving a problem with a coin/part of a coin, which may or may not have any value depending on how the market is doing.

I could go on forever explaining but that's a quick rundown. If you really are interested, feel free to pm me, or just do lots of googling, that's how I got into it a few years ago as I'm a huge nerd and love the technology behind blockchain.

Nice! I wasn't sure if any svtp members would be crypto nerds too lol I have a very similar looking 6 rig with 1070's but with one 1200watt psu. I would post pics but mine is currently in a few pieces as I just moved into a new house.

Just got an AOC AGON AG271QG 2560x1440 High Refresh Rate IPS panel, and let me tell you, the high refresh rate is noticeably better.

165 Hz like a boss :D

<----- This guy needs to step up his GPU game. I really need a 1080 Ti Sea Hawk X. I can't stand not getting frames at least equal to my refresh rate (which is 144 BTW).

yessir what's up??

Thank you @zhisel !
Thanks zhisel!

Alright so I got the astro a40 tr's for my PC. I hooked it up all up to my computer (USB, optical cable). Updated the firmware on the mixamp. But for the love of god I can't get the audio and mic to work properly with my games and discord. I can't hear anyone in chat on discord, and when I fix it to where I can hear them; I get into to a game and the chat audio goes away.

I already contacted astro and they want to send me one of their USB cables.
But is there anything I missed on why this keeps happening? This is the 2nd a40 Ive gotten in less than a week thinking it was the mixamp.

Also want to add that I didnt have this problem with my a50's connected to my PC.

Just did a bit of an upgrade to my PC. Long story short, I installed a new PSU and once I did that, the GPU literally lit on fire and took out the MB.

Decided to bite the bullet and get some upgrades

i7-7700K Kaby Lake 4.2 ghz - $295
Asus Maximus Hero IX MB - $190
850 Evo 500GB SSD - $150
EVGA 3200PCL 16GB DDR4 RAM - $110
EVGA 750W Platinum PSU - $130
EVGA FTW 1070 8GB GPU - Paid less than $450 new, which is a lot less than the 1080TI cards, which I want

Got pretty good deals at a local Micro Center. Great prices and a few products either had instant rebates or mail-in rebates.

I will post some pics later on of the computer. So far, it runs great, but, for some reason, certain games show I'm only getting 50-70 FPS (in game numbers only) on 1080P graphics, but, the game runs way better than before compared to my 4790K/970 GTX setup.
