Was looking at potentially going E85 and was looking for a budget system. I know the word budget and high HP usually don't go together but my tuner mentioned the Sai Li fuel system. I was thinking either that or the JPC budget E85 fuel system. I'm only looking to make 650 or so rwhp and still on the stock motor so I figured E85 would be a good way to go to help prevent detonation and whatnot. Anyone have any experience with either of these systems. I was quoted $950 for the Sai Li and The JPC one retails for $1449.

Several people run it, It gets the job done. I'm not a fan of how the feed line is spliced to the new hat, but it's an easy fix IF I have an issue with it. It leaked once pretty bad and I made some adjustments and so far so good. I'm also on the stock motor and it's fine with the setup in my sig.

Good to know. I was skeptical about E85 at first as it is more corrosive and harder on your fuel system but It's safer for the engine and can take more timing than the same octane gasoline, at least so I am told. Also E85 is easy to find in my state as Illinois is the second largest producer of corn, Iowa is number 1.

I just wished i hadn't already started re-tuning with the boss intake and new injectors (id1000's) on pump gas. Gonna get a torco tune for now until I have the funds to buy a new fuel system.

Also anyone know what a fair price would be for a shop to install? I don't think i would trust myself doing a fuel system install.

The fuel system install is pretty straight forward. Sai provides a step-by-step on what to do. I sell Fore systems, but I have used Sai's system. It is good for like 950whpish on E85 for a turbo application on ID1k.
Sai is a great dude and will help you out. Hit him up on Facebook. (Sai Li)

That's a fair install price for a shop. I would DIY it, but if you don't feel comfortable doing electrical and hose routing then having the shop do it is fine.
Depends on location/shop. My shop starts at $250 for a return style fuel system. Any wiring is more, anything not as simple as "plug-and-play" is extra, so it runs up to $500 for most systems. I believe $400 is really fair.

It depends on how much attention to detail is taken, some shops will remove the oem fuel line, tidy up the undercarriage etc.. others won't even bother..

So i am in the midst of a sai li install....
are you cutting the wires and attaching or just T'ing into.

There are the blue wires that go to FPDM. T into or cut and connect?
If cut then is the factory plug end just a bare wire that gets electrical tap covered?

Also there is a yellow and black wire that attach to factory pump harness?
T into or cut?

Also is it better to prime like stock or continuosly? What is the down side to continuous? Pumps will run in on position if engine is off?

I am removing a Vortech Max Flow BAP and that is tied into the purple/green wire, which is continuous. Its already been cut into so may just use that vs cut the yellow gray wire.
