Which do you think give off more heat - stock manifolds or aftermarket headers?

Which do you think give off more heat to the engine bay area?
any of the aftermarket headers ceramic coated?

I had my arh headers and mid pipe ceramic coated. The headers definitely cool down pretty fast.

Every time I change the oil, or the two times I've had to swap the alternator....I would really like to do coated headers or at the very least jethot the factory manifolds. The alt is just so damn close that heat has to be bad for it.

But then as I'm contemplating messing with it, and realizing what a nightmare it's going to be to get the manifolds off....I just leave it alone and go drink a beer lol. F that noise

They are a pain for sure. I swapped mine in the first time when I installed this - which made it ridiculously simple:

The pics in the previous post are after a couple years when I build the new engine, which was a no-brainer to move them over then. Zero desire to mess with LT's.

I made a heat shield for my alternator. I don't know if it's as effective but its way less work.
