I did a T56 in my 96 cobra and used the clutch fork and dust shield from my T45. I noticed it was rubbing and making noise. My question is are the clutch forks the same size or do I need a T56 clutch fork?

Which part is rubbing? I had to remove the weight from my fork; it was rubbing on the pressure plate when I would push the pedal in.

The end of the fork against the dust shield. It was making a terrible grinding / whining noise until I took it off. I looked up a replacement dust shield and they are all the same for 94-04 (according to LMR)

Got under to check it out again and you can pop the clutch fork off the pivot ball without any force. I plan on dropping the trans and replacing the pivot ball and putting a new throwout bearing in it. Think that will cure everything?
