Thinking about mmr 5.0 stroker though. Or a coyote swap. First choice is 5.8 4v with a tvs but second is coyote then my last choice is this damn 3v with cams and a kb

You could do it with the 3v, just a lot more work. A 15+ 5.0 is a great option, sky is the limit there. Youd be crushing shelbys, zl1s and hellcats no problem.

Legal performance put slicks and a 150 shot on one and only got a 10.98@125 but it's not a drag car. It just wasn't built to be. Yeah it's like $3200 just to get the 3v prepped for 700+hp plus then you add the $5500 kenne bel kit and it's just insane. I can get a coyote for like $2500 then a wiring harness and ecu from an 11-14 car and I'll be happy until I can save for some sort of boost on that platform

I have to wonder if the factory race car will be a priority of Fords new CEO. Seems like fuel economy and self driving seem to be him and Bill's priority.

So you want a mustang that is lighter weight(less weight than zl1 and HC) track apps, suspension, and good brakes?

Is this not the 350 track pack?
Some of these post are laughable.

Actually bud, your post is the one thats laughable. Get off your high horse and stop acting like an ass. You're opinion doesn't matter one iota to me. Other people are permitted to post what they're interested in without someone posting sarcastic unnecessary posts.
And for the record, my '14 GT500 is quite suiting for the time being. I have no desire for an under powered/under torqued GT350.

Im pretty sure he also wants a car that doesnt get embarrassed on the street by another "top dog". 350 doesnt cut the mustard there.

That's exactly correct. Essentially a new GT500 model with better tech and gadgets, not an under powered 350 that may live on a road course. because I don't race on road course. My car is street driven and occasionally run at the drag strip.

I was trying to understand what you were asking for?
It sounded like you wanted everything that is on the GT350. Am I wrong?

If the gt350 is under powered, so is the 2007-12 gt500. Oh wait... Back then the boss only made 444hp... Wow, so much to contradict and hate on with this narrow view.

I'll be happy to give ford a huge hurray for adding 82hp to the boss successor. Huge achievement.

I wouldn't be surprised if the gt500 ends up 80-90hp above the trinity cars. Ditching the heat pump and putting some real power adders on it would make that child's play.

Ford's 2013-2014 GT500's are still competitive with a competent driver in a straight line race with the new ZL1 and the Hellcats.

Where I would personally like to see refinements are with things like brakes, suspension, lighter weight, track apps/gadgets, and more customized features. Automatic would be cool as well for an option. Not sure if that would appeal to me or not because my racing days are pretty much over.

Interesting...

The GT350/R has
1. Amazing brakes
2. Suspension and drivability that is compared to the 3 times more expensive GT3 and 488
3. Has less weight
4. Has track apps and car play
5. Has customized features.

The GT350 has everything he has asked for yet he still is not happy. Randy Probst said he like it more than the $100k GT4. What more do people want?

Just goes to show you some people will never be happy!

You and I want very much the same thing. Cheers to that.

Lmao... you cant be serious man... for like the 10th time, yes you are wrong. He wants that PLUS real power. 700+

Actually yeah, 07-12 500s are underpowered by today's standards BUT and big BUT, unlike the naturally aspirated R, they can very easily add tons more power by doing some simple bolt ons, in order to keep them relevant in the streets.

Interesting...

For the 11th time, NO it doesnt have everything that he, along with many others, are asking for. Which is a monster power plant.

Darn, you really put me in my place. Guess you're right, I'll never be happy. Gosh darn it, you got me Mr. ON D BIT. LOL. Maybe I'll consult with your expertise the next time I decide to open my checking account for $70-80K, just to make sure I'm schooled and in your approval tank. Then again.....

These guys aren't even worth your breath man. They enjoy trying to feed their egos by having the "superior" internet opinion, even though I don't believe they realize that opinions are essentially the lowest form of intelligence. Just move on.
Because I desire to have the suspension beefed up to help the car hook, optional 10 speed automatic, brake pads that won't quickly pollute the wheels with brake dust and offer less fade, and more gauges or apps so that I can monitor the car more efficiently must mean what I really want is to settle for a GT350. And God forbid customers such as myself actually want competitive horsepower and torque from the new GT500 variant when comparing to the Hellcat Charger, Challenger, and Z06. I drive my cars 99.9% of the time on the street, and therefore straight line power coupled with the appearance of the car is more important than a car that may have more bells and whistles, but is grossly under powered compared to it's competition. Which is why I personally would like to see the new GT500 with these upgraded features, plus more power than the outgoing model. That, is not a GT350. End of story.
