Hey guys looking to do the GT350 stripes on my mustang but I cant seem to find the dimensions of the stripes anywhere on google. Was hoping on of you guys could help me out. Just need the width of the stripe and space between them as well as the size of the outside pinstripes. Thanks!

Not sure if the new cars' stripes taper or not, but the '65-66 did for sure. So if someone does measure their new 350's stripes be sure to measure at the beginning and end of every body panel. Distance between the stripes should be the same all the way thru.

I'm 99% sure they do taper, as I measured for a guy last fall. I don't have one sitting around at the moment to re-measure though.

I did not know that!

I would have already photographed a measuring tape across my stripes ... but I have none.

Big fan of these cars without stripes. The body lines of the GT350 are absolutely gorgeous. My taste favors showcasing the sculpted curves. Two prominent parallel lines segment the body lengthwise, like sawing the car in half from front to back. I pulled the stripes off the GT500 I had and the aesthetic affect was instantaneous, making the car look wider and clutter free.

I'm glad the majority may prefer stripes. It helps to make the delete cars much rarer.:)

I'm with you Tob, I prefer no stripes and would have had my GT350 this way had I factory ordered or if one was available. I bought my car from dealer inventory and it had stripes but I decided not to remove them.

My '14 GT500 stripes taper and I saved that early Shelby document above for '66 GT350H, so I'd assume the new 350 will taper.
I'm with you Tob, I like the 350 stripe delete, at least over top stripes. I've seen some stripes, and I think the car would look best with side stripes only.
Any pics like that?

Correct but I just think it would look better with side stripes only. I think Shelby American does this? To me the side flow with the body better than OTT.

Take it for what it's worth, just my opinion. Don't be that guy. There are some that have purchased SHELBY lettering and plastered it across the back because they want everyone to know what they are driving. Ford stylists and engineers finally got away from that with this version of the GT350 with minimalist nomenclature in comparison to past models. Side stripes - yeah, they worked on previous models and I've seen custom side striping done on this car. Again, everyone's tastes are different, but IMHO there are much better mods you can do. R rear seat delete, R splitter, custom wheels/tires, MGW shifter, cat-back exhaust....the list goes on.

J - when's the '66 getting done? I have a set of Koni's for the front if you'd want them. They are from the mid-1990's. Only 5k miles on them, but one needs rebuilt as the adjuster inside has broken. Koni didn't return my calls for a rebuild so I got fed up and I went with sport-valved Bilsteins this time. I can text you some photos if you're interested.

I sure do if anyone would be so kind.

No problem. I wouldn't have a GT350 without stripes. I have a DIB car so contrast to the black isn't awesome but I messed with the exposure on the trunk and it should be enough. The other photo is on the hood. To my eye It's 15 7/16" front and rear, no taper.

Thanks Ron. GT350 is in the next 2-3 years unless my wife decides she wants her Cobra kit car first. Been drooling over Backdraft Cobras.
Hope to see you this summer buddy.

Would be nice to see you bud. My cell is still the same so if you're going to be around Pgh just give me a heads up. Any chance you'll be at Keystone for the Nostalgic Drags or in Schenley Park for the PVGP?

I heard good things about backdraft years ago. My buddy chose to build a Factory Five instead and we did most of it in my garage. I'd like to build a FFR Daytona Coupe someday.

What motor and tranny does Mom want in her Cobra?

Sorry to derail - back on topic...
