Running a 2.6 kb making 660/600 with T56. The car will not hook at all in 1-3rd with toyo 315 drag radials on the street. I'm wondering if anyone else has experience with the 4.10's w/an SRA and has had luck getting their car to hook with the 305/45 ET street (or similar, 28" diameter) with a tall gear like that?

Just looking to see what others have done with their 4.10 on the street.

With that much gear and hp/tq, it's going to be hard to get anything to hook other than a drag slick.

I was thinking that but hoping to find some feedback that I can get it to hook with a 28" tire without swapping out the gear. If I have to I'll switch to the 3.55 but I really want to crush my brother in law and his 6 speed 413 ls7 stroker on the street

Isn't the ls7 a 427? A built, stroked ls7 in any vehicle is no joke. Crushing it might be a stretch. I'd be happy just edging one out. Does your BIL have a C6 Zo6?

Stock it is 427 but his was a custom build slightly de-stroked 413. It's a 14:1 setup for E85 running a dominator carb. It's going into an 89 Camaro with a magnum 6 speed. I'm sure it will be a handful, those engines do make power for sure.

You are wasting your time on a normal street with 4.10's. On a well prepped track and with a 28" slick, you should be okay.

Beating your brother-in-law to me isn't a good reason to suffer the severe lack of traction overall with the 4.10 gear. Especially with the T-56. I would go back to the 3.55 for a better street/strip combo. If you do keep the 4.10, you're going to have to work hard and spend some coin to harness enough traction on an (unprepped) street. And if he beats you, what then?

Auto swap and full slicks from a dig.

Now all you are missing is auto and suspension tuning.

I would consider swapping in a 6r80 but I've not researched too much, I thought I recalled seeing that they are near impossible to get working unless you have the full computer setup from the newer car.
