Hi y'all, been a lurker on this forum for a few years and decided to finally join. I have a 2014 base GT model w/ mt-82.

Current mods on car are boss intake, steeda CAI, BBK long tube headers and OR x pipe, tune by hypermotive.

I have been reading about using the gen2 short block with 13-14 timing components and what else need to be done to make it work.(I will be using stock heads and cams) I've never seemed to be able to get really clear answers on it even from Ford Racing who I called about it, so just decided to go for it and be the guinea pig lol. I start teardown Sunday most likely.

Anyways here is list of mods to be done to car in next few weeks:

Aluminator short block 9.5 compression
Tremec t56 magnum 2.97 first gear
McLeod RXT clutch
McLeod billet flywheel
DSS aluminum driveshaft
Trickflow valve springs
Stainless works headers and OR x pipe
JPC triple pump hat w/ 3 walbro 465 pumps return fuel system
JPC fuel rails
ID1300 injectors
Fluidyne aluminum radiator
ARP head studs
Beefcake special paxton2200sl
E85
Tune by Lund Racing

Anyways I'm super pumped but also afraid something will not go right lol. Will provide pics along the way also

Finally got some time to post. Got the motor pulled, relocated the battery, and started wiring up the fuel system.

Looks like it will be one hell of a build! Good luck with it, I'll be watching with interest to see how it goes. I saw you're already selling your gen 1 stock short block in the market!

Got started putting the aluminator on the engine stand to assemble and noticed the bolt for the lower passenger side did not want to thread(just my luck). It looked like it was banged against something in the factory or during assembly, once we got to looking at it it was noticably d shaped. The crate it came on wasnt banged up at all, it was actually pefect looking.

Finally got it started and the ear cracked and broke off, was freaking pissed at this point so just went to bed immediately and would deal with it later. Got it welded back up and tapped(thanks to a buddy of mine).

So hopefully everything else goes smoothly after this hiccup, it's pretty damn disappointing when you spend this amount of money on something and it comes with a flaw, but oh well nature of the beast I guess.

Been a bit since update, but have been on vacation. Got the motor back in and supercharger mounted. Should be putting the tremec in this weekend if work allows and finish the charge piping and fuel system.

After that should be about ready to fire up and tune her
