Recommended sparkplugs?

I bought my 08 last year with approx. 38k miles. Unfortunately the daily broke a month later and ended up putting 10k miles on it (makes me cringe thinking about it.) and I'm not sure when the last owner did the sparkplugs so I just figured I might as well get it done. Right now it has a FRPP 2.3L TVS with the 2013 stock pulley (14psi) with a Lund tune on 93 octane, Lightning Force Performance H/E, Lethal O/R X pipe with stock manifolds. I see a lot of people going with the NGK's but I'm not sure how cold of a plug I should run on this setup. I also see a lot of people gapping at .028 . Any reason I should gap them more? Any input or suggestions would be appreciated.

Motorcraft SP-471. A very good plug reasonably priced, one step colder than the oem plug which is what you need with your current set-up. With your boost level you can gap at .028 or .032 and be good.

TR7IX is a better choice. The TR6 is cheap and do not last too long

Would the TR7IX be too cold of a plug to run? I'd hate to foul it out considering she doesn't get tracked and the weather here rarely gets hotter than 85 (Central Missouri). Most work she see's is highway pulls. Only been to the strip once and even then I was taking it easy on her. I also don't see a smaller pulley in my future until I can run E85. I like peace of mind when I put my foot in it.

+1 on the Motorcraft SP-471. I run them in my 08 making 700rwhp with no problems.

Motorcraft SP-471. A very good plug reasonably priced, one step colder than the oem plug which is what you need with your current set-up. With your boost level you can gap at .028 or .032 and be good.

Thanks for the link! I'm going to research those brisk racing plugs. Seem to be high quality and I also like the pre-gapped aspect. Not sure I trust my cheap gapping tool lol.

I have TR6 and get random misfires which may be to my crappy gap tool. The motocraft and brisk look to be the most well rounded option. Especially the brisk as you mentioned that are pre gapped.

NGK TR7ix are the gold standard plug for our cars. Tough plug. Pulled a set out at 30k, looked like shit from all the Torco I used to run. Never missed a beat, not a single misfire. I try and replace them every 15k.

Just put SP471's on a 10' with a trinity TVS on a 2.5" pulley and they are holding up just fine. TR6 are stock heat range, if you want colder go SP471 or TR7

You guys should invest in a quality gapping tool, not one of those shitty discs at the checkout counter at Autozone. A good tool can be had for around $25 from Summit or Jegs.

TR7IX here at .032, runs smooth with easy cruising and beating on the ported TVS.

My tuner told me the tr7ix was incorrect for my 18-20lb cammed tvs application and recommended the ngk br7ef to me. Anybody else run this plug? I never had any problems with the tr7ix at all. Don't hear allot about the br7ef plug

Your tuner is incorrect. Both of those plugs are heat range 7, the only difference is what they're made out of. I believe the EF is nickel, which won't perform as well or last as long as an iridium plug.
