I've seen plenty of people who openly despise muslims here, including both sides of my own (mexican/irish) family and plenty of friends and acquaintances who served and are still serving.
Islam and muslims are shitstains that need to be flushed. Period. That includes the 'moderate' muslims who never speak out against these acts and are secretly ok with the bombings.

Common sense says we either kill these people or keep them out of our country but the dandy boys on the left do not want to offend them. Care? I hope it is these defenders who end up feeling the destructive nature of these people rather than those who can address a situation rationally.

While I agree with the sentiment, taking a hands off approach isn't the way to go. You can't really keep you family safe unless you never leaver your house. Malls, concerts, airports, anywhere large groups of people gather, can be a target at anytime.
You alone can not keep anyone safe 100% of the time so that's why I say don't give up. It's what the muslims would want you to do. To just keep calm and carry on and get destroyed.

Sometimes I think we all forget that tolerance is part of the reason this country was founded. It was a safe haven for protestants and then became one for Jews, Catholics, and the like.
Don't start on the Islam is evil crap and argue me into my grave, but nevertheless tolerance is a key ingredient to the American dream. If it wasn't, it wouldn't be built into the constitution and bill of rights.
