Just wondering what the temperature of the supercharger reservoir should be if it's 70 degrees outside. I'm breaking in my engine and after doing some pretty hard runs around my area. When i get home I'm checking everything and noticed the coolant in the supercharger reservoir is pretty cool. I dipped my finger into the coolant and it wasn't even warm. When the key is on you can see the coolant moving around so I'm sure it's flowing correctly.

Because it is a standalone system who's only job is to cool IAT's the temperature will always be relatively low compared to engine coolant. Engine coolant has to cool you engine down, since there is a thermostat it will usually always need to cool it down to 190*f, so the coolant will always be hot.

With the supercharger this is not the case. It only need to cool your charge air, which isn't very hot when you are just driving around, this means the water doesn't need get that hot. Once you start doing dome HPDE though you will see that the water will start to get hotter and hotter until you let it cool off.

Yeah I didn't expect it to be as hot as the engine coolant just warmer than it was. Anyway it makes sense what you said thanks for your reply.
