Ive been busy so my other thread went to ass. I got my car finished and brenspeed also got done with a full bolt on gt350 as well. My car " red lines" made 477whp with a CJ on their meh dynojet. And the gt350 made 485whp the first dyno graph is bone stock gt350 vs my build and then the second is the gt350 with kooks long tubes, jlt cold air intake, borla catback, brenspeed dyno tune.

I love the comp cams as well and will be using them too. They know what they are doing and have been doing it for a long time. As well, the power gains with comp cams are highly reproducible.

Awesome build. Once concern though. How do all the mods affect emissions?
I'm faced with that crap by the end of the month and it's becoming a ROYAL pain in the ass.

Ported heads would of gotten me another 30-40whp out of it. Regardless of the dyno

And thanks I love all the haters on the comp cams. Sorry your too poor to afford them

I'm not so sure ported heads - I mean do you speak of larger ports like a JPC type port or the ported boss type heads with identical port volumes?

Brett barber ported heads with 1mm over sized valves are 350cfm I like jpc but they are extremely over priced

Agreed, I have the boss heads and they are the same port dimensions and flow is only 5% more.. that's not much.. JPC heads flow like 10% more. although - my pals keep telling me that the flow numbers don't mean shit unless you have a deficiency in the port for x rpm x displacement so boss is idea for stock sized 7500 rev. 302.

It's 4 percent and the boss 302 heads have the same port volume so they don't do jack shit maybe 15whp with a set of cams before and after. I had a good friend have his touched up and he made another 8whp all that money for 8whp lol

Your friends are correct without larger cams a set of massive stage 3 heads or 1mm over sized valved bret barber heads won't do much over a set of stage 2 or touched up boss 302 heads

The point being ported heads are worth 25-35whp and it's extremely expensive. I would of done it but I spent the rest of my money on suspension and weight reduction

Just ran across this thread, gotta say those are some impressive dyno graphs when overlaid with the GT350. Makes me want to do something similar with my engine.

So on the comp cams what is the gen 1 grind vs the new one I’m assuming?

When I added Boss heads and just cobra jet cams without much else I went from 408HP to 440HP. Still at 7500 RPM - never did roll over and peak however. Stock on same dyno 2012 GT was 360HP/360tq with 93 octane.

After advancing the intake cam a few degrees and slapping on a big ass CJ intake and TB, I hit 493 / 413.

So when are the Mast Motorsports heads coming out? I think they are working with Philip at Cortex? I'll assume they are the MOZEZ class and would mandate a huge 94mm bore but flow like god. At that point, super huge cam no more ti-vct at all and stout springs and 14:1 compression with an AEM 10,000RPM all day.. like NASCAR.

the majority of ppl who port/polish heads have some sort of forced induction so the gains are even more when doing so and with the addition of cams the gain can be a 100+ hp.
