Here is a link that helped me a bit. You need new timing chains (primary and secondary), the timing chain crank sprocket, and the intake cams and all four cam phasers to make the 2015 engine work in the 2011-2014 Mustang GTs. The PCM is not compatible with the 2015+ intake mainfold charge motion generator/thing, or the midlock phasers or intake cams.

Everything I've seen suggest the valves being larger doesn't pose an issue.

I hope you get everything ironed out.

You're using the 2011 intake manifold?

Thanks for the info. So I don't need to change the exhaust cams? I thought they were also different?

I'll probably just buy the cams and then the 11-14 component kit for $550.

Yes I'm using the 2011-14 intake manifold, throttle body etc. I tried using the 2015 throttle body but they are controlled differently to the 11-14 and my PCM didn't like it.

Basically my engine is a late 2014 build that came with a lot of 2015 parts in it. I don't know about bottom end but heads etc look like the 15 ones.

Also when changing over the cams etc. Do you need to take the front bumper/radiator off?

I haven't gone through with this yet. As far as cams go, the intakes are the ones that need to be changed from what I've read/been told. SC_terminator I believe went through with it already. He spoke to AED which is a shop near Sacramento. You might be able to call them, they seem knowledgeable.

I've never pulled out the cams, so I couldn't tell you the steps to get the timing cover off. Other than that, my guess would be the cam tower bolts are torque to yield, so, one-time use. You'll probably need to get new ones.

However, there may be something in here that can help you:

Good luck, let us know how it goes.

I have seen the timing component kit go for 500 on MMR's website, not sure if it's cheaper elsewhere.

Back from the dead.

Anyone know if these short blocks are available anywhere? All I can find are the complete long blocks.
