with O/R exhaust and Long tubes I replaced the magnaflows with the Magnaflow round mufflers like these:

https://www.summitracing.com/parts/mpe-10416

I went a while with out driving the car and when I would open it up with the windows down it made my left ear actually hurt.

:)

If you want louder get three inch pipes and put in the 3" version of these mufflers.

I had the Magnapack cat-back and loved them better than the Borla stinger setup I had. Ran them with Bassani X (no cats) and it was smooth at cruising speeds, but man was it loud under WOT.

Slp Loudmouth 1s with bassani off road x and jba headers.
On boost it makes a noise from hell.

Nothing can describe how loud it is and I have Never heard an attak system so I can't compare.

One day I'll try and make a video.

My 04 has Bassani mid length, Bassani ORX, and Stingers... it's all business. From idle to my cruising shift point of about 2500rpms, I've had people next to me roll up their windows. Side by side, I bet I could drown out a piped Harley with this set up, no problem. I hear that Ataks are louder, more unrefined, and just plain raw. If I ever go back to IRS, I'll probably try them.

I have Mac O/R H with magnaflow mufflers and it is LOUD. Kind of regret all the attention hahaha. But **** me the idle sounds like a muscle car. I LOVE H pipes!!!

Atak's are amazing but all these other set ups sound interesting too. It has only made my decision harder lmao

It's not the loudest possible but stingers with OR X sounds 100% amazing. I don't see how anybody could not like it and it's plenty loud believe me. Under an overpass at WOT it's nuts

I have this setup also. I've been considering putting a catted X on it. Couldn't stand driving the car if it was any louder

My wife wanted her vert to sound mean so I installed my old Bassani headers and high flow catted mid pipe that were in storage along with SLP LM1 exhaust. It sounds mean as hell! I honestly wouldn't want it any louder and the high flow cats kill off that rasp that I have heard with the same exhaust with headers. It has to be twice as loud as the bassani system that was on my car back in the day with the headers and mid pipe. However the bassani setup sounded more refined.
i will have to get a vid some time since I have only come acrossed this setup one other time and the vid wasnt that good.

I have a full Bassani exhaust and I love the sound. Was considering going to the Stinger cat-back but I'm going to rock this set-up for a while.

My setup is BBK Longtubes , BBK O/H pipe and Borla Stingers S type mufflers! (race mufflers) Loud as hell, WOT sounds like a race car, having 4:10s in the rear helps a little because of the RPM'S being raised because of shorty gear ratio. I get nothing but thumbs up.

I agree 100%. Bassani mid length headers, Bassani catted x pipe, and slp lm1 cat back. This is my setup too. I think it sounds perfect. The cats quiet it down at idle and off throttle cruising. But its loud as hell when you step on it.

I need video of outside the car, because this isn't justified. No raspy or drone sounds here.

Currently have stock manifolds, with catted x and Ataks. I personally LOVE the Ataks.
Still has good tone. Decently loud down low but screams up top. And if you let off you get the nice pops and crackles if you like that

E cut outs are my favorite way to go. Like $250.

I need to find 3" e cut outs. I wish I could still flip a switch and make the kid sitting next to me revving in an Sti do a double take. I used to love that.

Turbo cars are so quiet that even now, 3" straight piped, headers, etc, my car is pretty quiet at idle for how beefy it is.

If you run any 2.5" system, do e cut outs. Picks up tons of power, and sounds great because they are located at a proper point for 4th order sound quality.

It's important to optimize location when installing electric cut outs.

Do you have a aftermarket tune? Generally the popping on decel is in the tune. Had it with my old tune and now with a different tune and tuner it's gone. Mine was so bad it sounded like a old farm grain truck.

I do not have an after market tune. I have an auto and if I put it in first and bring up to like 4k+ and let off it will pop quite a lot actually. Could be running a little rich then but it has always done that even with everything stock
