I had an earlier thread on picking up the 624 hp Ford Racing 2.3 Whipple at a steal during the closeout of this part. My car is stock including airbox and cats other than the blower kit and resonator delete. I completed the install in early March and have put on about 1k miles now as it is my daily. Originally had the procal 91 tune installed which ran smooth and was just fine; drive ability about stock quality.
I had Shaun at AED provide a tune for me about 2 weeks after install. As it was with the NA tune I bought from him 2 years ago, the response via phone and email was virtually instantaneous. Drivability is improved to the procal tune as the throttle response is much better, especially below 4K rpm. Datalogging was thorough and I trust the engine will last a long time. There is no surging or any other issues, I can't say enough how easy it is to forget the blower is there when driving back and forth to work. It's perfect.
I went down to get the car on the dyno for a couple runs with Keith at AZ Dyno Chip (also a good guy). I'll attach the files later, but the car made 518/442 on Shaun's 91 octane tune. It made almost exactly the same power through 4 runs on the dyno, so it is super consistent. That's not breaking any records I know, but Shaun offered to push harder, and I said to stop where we were until I put some more seat time in it and get it to the track. Boost starts at 6psi and climbs to just over 7 at the end of the run with the 3.375" pulley that came with the kit.
