Quality North East Tuner for Improved midrange/cruise Tune?

Back in '13 when I did the Trinity TVS on my '07, everyone insisted that a BAP AND 72# injectors were necessary.

I did a remote tune with Lund Jr. and it feels great at WOT!
The "day to day" drivability of the tune is acceptible, but not that great from an efficiency standpoint.
I quickly get brown exhaust residue on my back bumper (white car) and the fuel mileage dropped quite a bit.
Although I understand its tough for ANY tuner to get back to OE levels of efficiency/drivability with a few minutes of data logs from a fully warm car in closed loop.

Is there a quality tuner in the PA, NY, NJ area that will do more than just tune for safe WOT? I'm looking for someone that will work on the midrange/cruise portions as well.

I commute 300 miles a week in the summer and would love to gain back a little MPG and cleaner back bumper.
I'm willing to change the combo to help ease the midrange/cruise tunability if needed.
I'm also willing to do another remote tune, but would like to work with a vendor that is interested in cleaning up the midrange/cruise.

Current setup is, '07, Trinity TVS, 2.3" upper, KB BAP @ 17V, 72# injectors, NGK TR6's, 65mm TB, JLT 123mm CAI, AFCO nonfaned HE, O/R H pipe, Magnaflow mufflers

It's out of that area but the Tasca Modshop in RI has tuned tons of Shelby's. Reach out to Dennis who does the dyno tuning and see what he has for options. I had mine done there and received top notch support and I haven't seen a bad review ever. Not sure how much help he can be with your request but a 1 min call doesn't hurt.

Thanks a bunch! I'm willing to travel and spend the money for a very high quality tune.
The trick is finding the right vendor!

Check out Bill Miller at Pro Edge Tuning. He does all of Jay Teixeira's (1320Junkie) tuning and he's had (and has) some pretty nasty cars that he commonly drives on the street with no problems. I think Bill Miller is in CT.

JDM. They will drive and dyno tune your car for best driveability and performance. I have run FRP ProCal, Lund Sr, and JDM tunes in my car. Timing advance and AFR varies between the tunes, but they all run within 1 mph in the quarter mile with my combination. My FRP ProCal tune is the leanest of the three tunes, and I do see less dusting on my back bumper. I still run factory cats.

I will cast my vote for Bill Miller @ Pro Edge. I'm in Louisiana , million miles from him, and he has sent tunes my way for a while now.

Thanks guys!! That's exactly what I needed to hear.
This car has been a garage queen way too long. I'm planning to DD it a lot more this year.

Did you contact Lund about the drive ability? They generally like to make sure that their customers are totally satisfied with the tunes that they write. And they are certainly capable of maximizing drive ability and performance

Yea I don't have a lund tune, but looked into it last year and it looked like he has a pretty stringent data logging process. He actually does the drive ability portion of the tune first then maximize the wot. If I remember correctly. Anyway contact him first and see what he says

I want to be clear, I'm not knocking either Lund's ability!
I'm not certain, but I believe Lund Jr was newer to the scene back in '13. I'm certain his skills have increased exponentially over the last four years!

When I did my remote tune back then, he was looking for some mild 50% throttle street pulls initially to start working toward WOT. I'm sure they had a decent idea on how much fuel needed to be scaled back everywhere else, but I don't remember any requests (if there were, it wasn't a priority) for cruise/low speed logs.
Again my combo was fairly common back in '13, but now I'm sure they have a much larger amount of data to create even better tunes.

But this time I'd like to try going to a shop where they can actually get their hands on the car and drive it. I try to do all my own work, so there is always the possibility I've made a mistake and there is an actual hardware issue that needs to be resolved.
The biggest thing is to find a shop with knowledgeable guys that really care. And that's not as easy as it seems.

Bill Miller at Pro Edge Tuning is the only man that will touch my car. It has ran Flawless for 3 years now @700hp to the tire
