I live one mile away from the meet place and unless only 9 cars show it's not going to work, this is a very busy strip mall. I'm lucky to find parking for myself at times, not at 7AM but its usually packed. Taking Topanga is not a fun canyon cruise. It's a heavily traveled connection from the valley to Malibu. More likely to get caught behind an 8 wheeler. And then to finally crawl north on PCH on a Sunday to Santa Monica just is not a good plan.
There are so many better canyons that have no congestion and much better twisties that lead to much better places then Samo beach.

We were going to meet up in la cañada flintridge to do angeles crest hwy cruise but theres no good meet up spot around there that has a coffee shop and gas station around, plus that cruise would of been too long. Its memorial weekend and im sure ppl have plans, thats another reason why we doing topanga canyon.
