Anyone know if the car an be aligned to the alignment specs listed on the card with the manuals? I took a pic of the attachment in the alignment thread and sent it to my dealer before pick-up and the head mechanic said the camber could not be adjusted that far so I asked for him to put the car on the rack and dial in as much camber possible and give me before and after printout. He did and they got -.5 on the driver side and -1.1 on the pass side. Assymetrical and not -1.5 on both I wanted. Does this car require camber plates to set the adjustment in the manual (weird) or did the small town ford dealer not have a clue? Note I had to drive 200 miles to find MSRP+5K so maybe that dealer just does not get the training resulting in too low a price and not aware of the procedures. Anyway, I drive CCW at TWS and the passenger tire with a bit more negative camber is pretty ok.

I sent an inquiry to Maximum Motorsports about just this issue. I'll get back on here and post what they have to say about this. A friend took his car to Willow Springs last Sat to see how it was on the track and he said it was good but wore the outside of the tires more than any other area. He was using the stock alignment specs as delivered. I was wanting to know if using the track settings for general street diving of about 2500 miles a year would bother the tires too much.

Well I think there are a few plate manufacturers. Vorshlag, Max Motorsports and even Steeda. I would most likely go with Vorshlag if I was putting them on my car. Keep in mind you should check your bump steer once you install the plates. To adjust that you might need the adjustable tie rod ends. You could run 1.5 degrees neg without to much effect on street tire wear. It all depends on how much track time vs street time you plan on doing with it. I've run 3 track events 2 days each and I'm not noticing much if any uneven tire wear. Most of my driving is street driving. I might have about 500 track miles vs 5000 street miles.

Did you do anything to the as delivered alignment? As I got better in the GT500, I could wear the edges off the fronts (MPSSs) in two, two day events...

I don't have any plates installed on my GT350. I just had the alignment shop put in all the neg camber they could get with the stock set up. Tire wear has been normal to date. Sorry I'm not more help. I think a lot has been written about this kind of thing on Mustang6g.com

The Vorshlag look interesting. I like that the settings can be changed track side. I have the recommended track settings from the supplement, but it'd be nice to see what the street settings are supposed to be. A quick search reveals others asking that question on various forums, but I have yet to find the answers.

I believe the stock settings are in a sheet in the Supplement to your owners manual. This was in my manual.
