What do I need to do pre track day?

I'm guessing change the brake fluid? I have Motul ready to go. It never goes bad if the bottles are factory sealed, right?

Do I need to verify the splitter is on correctly? Whats the best way to do that?

Does it need it's first oil change before I go?

What is the best way to record this fiasco? I used Harry's lap timer on my phone with a RAM suction cup windshield mount in my GT500. Works OK, but you only see the hood of the car. I'd prefer if it was behind me so you could see what I'm doing. If it was behind me, it seems it would be problematic to stop start, know it was running, etc.

Which OBD connection do people like? Are they worth the trouble?

Car is an early 17, delivered to the dealer in October of 16. Could it need the cooler line fix?

I can't answer most of your questions, but, last things first, if your car was built before Sept. 1, 2016, I think you're in the group recalled for the oil line issue. That doesn't mean you've got a problem now, but the recall should prevent the problem from ever occurring. Even if your dealer doesn't have the repair parts yet, they can inspect your car to make sure there's no problem now.

Get the wheels aligned to the recommended track specifications. I don't believe the supplement calls for a brake fluid change. Ford wasn't messing around with the brakes this time.

Brakes bled, all your gear and mats out, check oil the day of, change it after. Needs a few thousand mile on it first as well. Check tires and pressure. Check coolant. O check wheel lug torque and check hub play before and after.

Alignment specs in the supplement as well? Does this mean I have to remove the plastic from my manuals? lol

Do you know what kind of brake fluid they come with? My understanding is most of the high temp stuff needs to be changed every 6 months or so as it picks up water. This car was built back in Octoberish of 16.

Brake fluid: if you're hard on brakes, then change it. If you're more of an endurance-style driver, then the OEM fluid is good. It's a relatively modern DOT4 product; I ran it at the track last year and it was fine, and I'm going to flush with it this year and run it again. If your Motul is factory sealed, it'll be ok to use.

Yes, check the splitter. Search on this forum. Basically if there's a gap between the splitter and the lower apron, it's on wrong. If the retaining screws are missing (feel up from below in the slots) then it's on wrong. If there's no gap and the screws are in, then it's right.

You can control a GoPro from Harry's so you can put the camera anywhere. I have a Plex Kiwi 3 OBD device to record throttle position.

No need to change engine oil before you go. Maybe after.

Cooler line fix was for cars built before September 2016, so you shouldn't need it.

To check hub play, lift your car off the ground and grab the wheel at the top and bottom push and pull on the top and bottom of the wheel, you will see the wheel will move a little that is hub slack and there should be very little if any note able move movement

If there is enough movement that it makes noise when it stops then it's to much and time for a new hub be for your wheel runs a way from your car I will see if I can make a quick video to show what I mean.
