Hate to say it... and as stupid as that kid was for running in the middle of the track to incite confrontation with Stewart, it sure looks like he got hit on purpose. I dont believe with an actual intent to kill or hurt, but to scare.

Perfect example of two hot heads creating a tragedy together.

I'm a firm believer in "play stupid games win stupid prizes"

Suck it up fam, when you dance in the middle of a race track don't cry when it doesn't end well.

That's fine and all...but, I doubt that's how a judge looks at it.

I had always thought poor visibility out of the right side of he car was a factor. A few months ago I was able to do 25 laps in a winged sprint car and I have to say I thought the field of vision was far better then I anticipated....

Ex-sprint kart driver here.. One thing i've learned is when you get in a wreck, stay in the kart/car. Don't get out until you have emergency folks there unless you see fire/danger. And even then, if you get out, don't run at the cars as they go passed you. There's not guarantee someones keeping a moderate/slow speed. Shit like this happens because people get pumped up with adrenaline and make bad decisions. If you hop in front of a car, regardless of speed, you're a moron. Whether he intended to hit him or not, had he not walked in front of him in the first place then there would be no death.

Anything above and beyond this is speculation.

As a current karting driver there's no way in hell I could miss a man in the middle of the track at that speed.

He shouldn't have been on the track but Tony Stewart 100% knew what he was doing. Ward's actions don't absolve Stewart of his.

if the case isnt tossed out they'll probably end up settling out of court for some big undisclosed amount.
