Hey guys. Just installed the 5 piece kit. I'm trying to find out the torque settings for the bolts. I haven't been able to find anything. Also should I use blue threadlocker? Thanks.

So what originally happened was I assumed they were just hand tight. After about half a day of driving the idler pulley bolt backed out and the pulley popped off. I ordered another pulley and emailed both metco and lethal(purchased from them) and haven't heard back from either. I don't want it to come off again. Cobrabob's FAQs says 18 ft lbs which seems low. I know plenty of people have these pulleys and hope someone has the best answer. Thanks for the help so far.

No one said to just make them hand tight. Go put a wrench on it and make it tight.....done.

Be careful. I over tighten the bf idlers years ago and snapped a bolt. I had to remove the whole bridge to reverse thread it out.

This!

Be very careful not to over tighten idler bolts. I highly recommend anyone doing their own engine work (including idler replacement) get a copy of the 2003 Mustang service manual. Proper torque specs are your friend.

I forgot I had service manual on my computer. Thanks.

Something like this you should be able to tell by hand. I have never torqued a spark plug or pulley bolts

I always torque my plugs, I don't care what anyone says. I'm known to over tighten stuff. Plus only 4 threads I want to make sure I have it to Ford specs. When changing, my plugs have always stayed tight. Also when I first start threading a plug, I connect the plug to a piece of rubber hose. Better chance of not crossing threads.
