I didn't know IHI even existed until a few minutes ago. My bad. I wonder why they don't pursue more OEM's with their unit. Looks like a pretty nice piece and twin screw FTW. I thought the hellcat's whine was louder due to a more aggressive pulley but now I know why.

eaton has been working with OEMs for decades now. They have world class quality standards and can manufacturer at a much lower cost per unit then any other supercharger company.

Also, for a street car the TVS has lower IATs during normal operation and better low end torque than a twin screw. **gasp** Now for all out dyno numbers and 1/4mi racing obviously the larger twin screws (kenne bell and whipple) are more efficient on the top end. But i doubt either meet quality standards for OEMs.

yeah idk about that... kinda of hard to screw up an 8 sp auto with drag radials.

I feel like its the perfect idiot's drag car.... that's why I (and everyone) want it LOL.
Still not that hard to have a bad launch. Have you never launched an auto car on a tire? It can still go bad...

Cool car. They went all out on this project!

Didn't someone put skinnies and drag radials on a stock Eco-Boost Mustang and lift the front tires? I dunno if it was a magazine or a shop car.

I hope everybody understands that this car is not banned from a NHRA track unless you run the time it is capable of, you can still take this thing to the track and be faster then pretty much everybody else.

It is just that if you nail the perfect launch etc you are banned from said track you went to as with any car if you go Dodge's time in the car.

The question now is how many runs did Dodge make to get that 1/4 mile time. It seems it was done in the fall at a track in FL last year.

Was this an easy run or an "hero" run?

wrong. you can launch as hard as you want and go as fast as you want in the 1/8th mile. u will simply have to let out b4 u hit the 1/4 mile finishing line. and you will be FAR from faster then anyone else at the drag strip.....

most ppl will be in the low 10's. jus cause its gone 9.65 under the most perfect driving conditions on the most perfectly prepped track with a professional driver after probably a 100 passes or so..... doesn't mean everyone else will be doing that.

And love the fact he wants you to go out and street race, get busted and have your precious Demon impounded and crushed. Apparently no one told him this isn't the late 60's to early 80's where you just get a ticket and pay a fine in most places.

Like I said this car is going to be bad sure but also hamstrung because of all the non compliant issues it has. And if anyone thinks this is only going to be a one year deal only thing is smoking something as all you got to look at is the Hellcat and what happen with it after 2015, I think the Demon is either going to be a 2 or 3 year run at the least.

New Challenger should be here by 2020 so your prolly right, is Dodge still going to make the Hellcat? I dont see why they wouldnt, there lineup is pretty stout as far as rental car version all the way to you're going to hell version. Basically they have a version for anybody now.

They made all the SC for the AMG line. They are a big manufacturer of turbo and SC for many industrial applications, as well as jet engines. They even make space rockets.

How come?

always been a douchebag that just rants on and on and on imo.

Pretty much this.

But what really did it in was when he started trashing some local guys and accusing them of using multiple power adders (Anthony Ballard) mainly. I just choose not to promote or socialize about those kinds of people. No sandy vagina here.

I take it as him being in character.... seems to me like it is part of the show..

Unless I met him in person and he proved to be otherwise, I just enjoy the show..

But but but it can't turn on my favorite "canyon" road on the way home from work.

I did LOL at this.

Why do you guys think ford performance cares about this car?

I would think most of us are their customers and this thread is up to 47 pages on a Ford site. Plus my facebook was blowing up.

i have about $200k equity in my home... however now i think i will have to sell. this is more important.

My thoughts exactly

Like I said enjoy your banned car and why you can't run it at any track in the US. Unless you dump another $5000 and cutting it up to qualify it.

1 Full welded interior cage.

2 push pull fuel cut off

3 fire suit/jacket helmet

4 fire extinguisher/ suppression system.

And a few other odds and ends I'm probably forgetting

I still stand by my 85% of these will never be on the road other than the odd car show here and there.

At both of my local NHRA tracks there are many cars that run sub 10 second passes, modified cars that are not kicked out.

The banned at the track stuff is irrelevant to me. I've seen several street cars not rules complaint at my local track. Some times they let them run, sometimes they kick them out if they make a full pass again. They can just come back for the next test and tune and do it again. Good enough for me.

Looks like i was right it's a "killer chiller drag kit" like i have in my truck.

Yep. SCR and NPR pretty much let you run what you brung.
