How many of you went to this extent.
I'm 99 percent sure I'm gonna pull everything out. I have 3 other daily drivers the suit the kids. My cobra is just strictly toy for me. Plus 3 kids wouldn't fit anyways.
Thoughts ?

I would leave it in. I gutted my 86LX back in the day, then decided to sell it. Looking back on that, I limited myself to who wanted to buy it. It was set up as a track car so, I only had track guys looking at it. In hindsight, I would of left the interior in it. I really dont think the weight savings helped me that much in the quarter, the few times I ended up running it. If my driving skills was better, I could of made the difference up and kept the interior intact.

I did it to my 'track car' couple years back. I tore out everything but the Dash, it was all in poor shape so that made it an easier decision. It weighed 200lbs when all said and done when I dropped it off at the dump.

I ended up putting a race seat and roll cage in it, and I like the look, but only with the cage and seat. It looks like shit otherwise  IMO. It's a little obnoxious driving on the street like that, you hear every little creak or rattle or rock that kicks up under the chassis. I say go for it if mostly track car, it's a nice little weight savings.

I would remove the backseat, and keep it wrapped up. No need to remove everything, it's not worth it.

Remove if you want , but keep the parts safe , you may need them later.
I removed the back seat from my fox hatch, but have it saved safely wrapped .

Only thing that I think will be hard If I did is its in great shape.
Kinda like survivor since it's really nice being 20 years old.

I removed mine, just because I saw this swap in a magazine, and love the look and feel of the terminator seats. Originals are in perfect condition safe, stored away. Looks stock, and love the look and feel in my '96, but granted it was not easy hunting down low mileage terminator seats with parchment suade, I think I read they made like less than 100, wasn't a cheap mod either.

I removed the back seat for track days, and was glad I could reinstall it. The bottom cushion weighs nothing, but the folding seatback has a heavy steel frame. It was easy to make a rear seat delete out of Masonite and felt, which reduced road noise. Be careful with the bulky trim piece above the rear seats - the plastic tabs can break.
