So I've been looking at parts since i was told my car is getting fixed. I was wondering if anyone is running the C&L CAI considering i want to retain my factory strut bar. If so, how do you like it? have you had any issues with it? etc etc.

The other question im sure it has been answered a million times is with the IMRC, has anyone ran the IMRC deletes WITH the plenum spacer? if so what kind of gains have you noticed and is it worth it.

I have already orderd an SLP LM1 and looking at MAC Longtubes and Mac prochamber mid pipe. Anything else you guys suggest or any other LTH and mid pipe setup?

Thanks in advance.

I bought the C&L years ago (it was not cheap) for the same reason to retain the stock strut tower brace. I had problems with the tube in the back having to be bent to go into the c&l hole, It kept tripping check engine lights, so I went back to stock pipe, with the larger C&L MAF. I don't know for the short time I had it on, it seemed more trouble than it was worth. It probably would work if I had it on, then had the car dyno tuned and all the sensors turned off. I didn't notice any HP difference when it was on, I vaguely remember it being a little louder, but this was like 10 years ago. Hope that helps.

Works for me im just trying to figure out what route i want to take at the moment. I want to road course/track the car more than drag it so thats the only reason i want to retain the strut bar.

By the way, where on the island are you?? i just moved out here a year ago from long island. I actually used to hang out with a lot of mustang guys back in the day when like L.I. Stangs was a thing and they were big.

I'm running, it was by far the hardest CAI I've ever put on a car, the filter smushes up against the inside of the car near the headlight. Other than that, it works fine. Get it.

So to wake this back up, i've been doing some research and it looks like back in 03-05 MAC had issues with toasting some motors because of weld slag in their Long tube headers. Has this been fixed? every review I see now gives them 5 stars, I would hope in the span of 12-14 years they would have fixed this issue.

Any input?

The other issue i'm sumbling upon is finding a pro-chamber that bolts up to the LTH. for the cobra they are only offering an offroad H without the prochamber, but for the GT they offer it with the prochamber. Is there a difference in midpipe from the GT to the cobra? sorry if its a noob question but when i go by part number it tells you what can and cant be used and its telling me the prochamber can not go with the LTH i'm looking at.

Sounds like I'll be going with BBK ceramic headers and BBK H pipe. Anyone have a video of a. BBK lth with BBK o/r H or BBK catted H with slp lm1. Not sure if I wanted o/r or catted H yet. Depends on if the o/r H is raspy or not.

Lightning MAF has been proven to make more power.

But my bone stock induction system, was good to 12.30's, and I think i could of gone even farther with it.

Cool, my only thing is that EVENTUALLY I want to add nitrous, untill I go boost. But I want the most power n/a for now. I've been following your build thread on here and on FB but you're putting in way more money than I can at the moment lol. Maybe if I didn't build my 13 wrx I would have had money to build this! ;)

You'd be shocked on what I have in my car. You'd think I'm a drug dealer. Plus, it took me years, to just now get to it.

I'd still keep the stock tube on dope.
