Been looking for a pristine Boss for some time. Came across one near by, '12 comp orange/ black. Stock, under 1500 miles, basically looks like it was just unwrapped, recaros, track key, all paper work, just mint as mint can be. Is 36k too much? Going to have to sell my '96 Cobra pretty quickly, or refinance after I sell. Any opinions would be appreciated, thanks.

Wouldn't be my first color choice...but it seems a tad on the high side, but not overly dramatic.

Color aside, price still a tad high for mileage, originality, and condition? A friend of mine said I would be better off with a '15-17 GT performance package for less, but I like the uniqueness of the Boss, thanks for input

price is in line with the mileage if it was a Ca car. Then again, we always seem to pay more for shit lol.

I wouldn't let a couple grand stand between you and the car you want. If that's what you want, go for it!

Always look at the convenience factor......would you rather pay more for one and it be closer or spend the same amount for a cheaper one far off and have to go get it from the middle of nowhere?? I started my boss hunt looking in Dallas and Houston as I live in Louisiana at its some what close to me.....I lucked up and payed the same amount as one in Houston I was looking at , at my own local town ford dealer. And was only 10 minutes form the house.....just food for thought

Closer is a factor, Id be hard pressed to find one with this mileage near by again, just wanted to get some input before I pull the trigger, have my cobra for 12 years now, mustang purchases are a big decision to me

That's understandable....buying a car period is a big ordeal.

Coming from a guy that had a 15 GT PP. Hahahaha

Under 1500 miles that car is still new. I put over 1500 miles a month on my truck so that car has less than a months use for me. 36K sounds like a great price to me for a basically brand new Boss.

Does this bracket that look rusted, a normal thing for a boss that has not been driven, only question on this car, every other bit, you can eat off it. This is normal as per the seller

Rusted axle weights are normal. Four months ago I paid 33,900 for my '13 with 800 miles. Wait. Sell the Cobra first. If the Boss is still for sale (I'm betting yes) then make an offer in the low $30's.

Mooseman - as others have said, it might be slightly high price-wise, but if the car is good, then it's worth it.

A couple of things come to mind:
1) the axle weights were rusted on both of my Bosses the day I drove them off the showroom floor;
2) everything else looks OE and normal;
3) Competition Orange/Black was the most common 2012 edition per the build numbers - it looks superb
https://trackmustangsonline.com/threads/the-officially-unofficial-2012-production-numbers.2341/ ; and
4) no one ever regrets buying a Boss! They are so much fun to drive and are rare and cool.

Good luck!

Price is a bit to high, offer in the low 30's as previously stated sounds reasonable. You can almost get an LS at that price. Overall, the b302 is amazing car, on and off the track.;)

These cars are special... I've had a lot of cars, this one still puts a big smile on my face five years later! Imo if you find the right car for you, it's worth a little more. Only you can answer that question though.
