I decided to pre-order a Switch after I missed the classic mini, I refuse to pay 120 bux for a 60 dollar machine with 30 year old games, but that's a different matter. I think the Switch is awesome, I played Zelda in the doctor's office waiting room for 45 minutes yesterday and then for 20 minutes once I got back into the other room. My 6 year old plays it in the truck, I think it does whats it's supposed to do quite well, this is what the Wii U should have been. The Wii U is the first Nintendo console I didn't buy, I just didn't care about anything on it.

I take it out of the dock and put it back in a couple times a day as does my 6yo and I haven't noticed any scratches on it. I think those people on YouTube try to scratch it and tear it up so they can get some more views. I haven't had a problem at all (yet) with mine. I carried it in the pocket of my coat so I don't even really try and baby it, I don't think it's as fragile as people that don't have one say it is.

p.s. I do think they should have waited 6 months or so and launched with a better library though. Mario Kart and Odyssey should have been launch titles along with Zelda.

This Zelda kicks major buttcheeks. I gotta throw that in.

Nintendo should have blown its load all at once by releasing three big games at release? That's an incredibly dumb move because Nintendo could spread out the demand over the course of the rest of the year rather than all at once and if it released with those three games, you'd see the NES mini all over again. The idea is to keep demand fluid so that people want it during the year. Nintendo will have Xmas sealed if it releases Mario on schedule.

Edit: A company doesn't want three big games competing for finite dollars all at once.

Agreed, there are indie titles scheduled to release(and have released) that will keep people interested until the big Nintendo titles release. Arms releases soon, then Mario Kart, then Splatoon 2, and Mario.

IMO, many additional big 3rd party games will be announced at E3.

I had some free time today and heard GameStop was getting a restock so I thought what the heck, I'll see if I can trade in my Xbox one towards one. (I haven't touched my Xbox One since picking up a PS4 Pro).

Unfortunately every GameStop I called actually got them yesterday and was already sold out. Called all the targets, Walmarts, and Best Buy's in my area and nobody had any in stock.

I'll probably just wait till inventory catches up with the demand and hopefully some more good games come out. I also would like to see a browser and apps like Netflix get added.

Gamestop is giving $175 for an XB1 traded towards a Switch until 3/26.
Yeah that's what I wanted to do but none of my stores had any unfortunately. They said I could order a bundle with Zelda and some other things, but it was like 465 and that's just more than I want to spend.

Stressing what was said earlier, a new Mario this holiday season will guarantee Nintendo is hugely successful and I doubt even a "new" X1 will put up a fight. Target has a new Switch display featuring Odyssey and the game looks 1000x's better in person than on screen at the Switch reveal in January. The reveal looked like a dump.

I got a switch last week and didn't think I'd be addicted. But just let played till 6am this morning. I promised myself I wouldn't look up strategy, but when I came across horses and how easy they were to tame. I had to look for the best horses. Basically I got to parts of them game I shouldn't be at, enemies are strong as hell and can kill me with 1 hit. I only have 3 hearts!!

Anyways, this game is fun as hell. Not much pc gaming for me for next couple of months!!

I love playing Zelda on my switch. Find a USB-c compatible battery pack. I had mine off charger for nearly 30 hours.
I have a zerolemon 22800mah USB battery, the battery is from a mac book pro. But USB charging and playing at the same time won't work for my battery. It will charge with Switch off tho.

Four months on the market and the library is already solid with BOTW/DLC, Mario Kart, Arms, Splatoon 2 (next week), etc..,

Purchase a pro controller unless you are a midget or a woman. Otherwise it is kinda small for a normal sized hand.
