Man that thing is in amazing condition...especially given the fact that it is an all original 50 year old car. Are you gonna store it or drive it? Were you searching for something like this or did you just stumble upon it and decided to jump on it. Congrats on such a rare find.

You got really lucky.
Most owners would just consign it to one of the big auctions. Survivors are bringing HUGE money!

I want a 67-68 chassis built drag car with a vin so bad. It will definitely be my next move. Small Block or a Big Block, EFI, and some twins will do me right, I know it.

I really gotta quit licking my monitor now. Beautiful finds, and nice resto.

Holy crap , very nice op !

Beautiful!!

Thanks fellas! I had to pinch myself hauling it home.

congrats, great find. The first Shelby I purchased in 1978 was an identical red 4 speed GT500 #1850.

Very nice! I'm a sucker for red too.

Knocked him down 22k....follows that yp with it wasn't cheap.

Haha.. just in case we thought 22k off a car would be a cheap car.

All that aside..

Awesome find. Anything else fun hiding in his barn?

He had a ton of cars, boats and old farm tractors. I saw a 63 split window, some Porsches, a 68 Fastback dressed as a tribute Shelby drag car, an old Porsche tractor, speed boats and even some old WW2 tracked soldier transport vehicles.. He had a huge collection, but nothing like the condition of the GT350. Everything else was pretty rough to extremely rough condition.

Looks great, nice find.

What an amazing and fortunate find. Congratulations! It really looks to be in extraordinary condition. Wow! Just WOW!

Its good to know there are still some rare barn finds out there like this.......that GT500 looks amazing. Congrats on the find and purchase.

Wow that looks clean. Congrats on the find and purchase.

I know, when I first saw pictures of the car for the price he had listed I thought it was a clone/tribute car that he thought was the real deal. Either way I had to go take a look. My jaw hit the floor when I saw it and did my research to find out it was legit.

Nice piece of history you have there, congratulations.

You got really lucky.

You're definitely right, I got extremely lucky.

Very nice OP! We just got done doing a complete on a 67 GT350 done in Brittany Blue.

I absolutely love Brittany blue. That thing is flawless! Looks like you guys did a great job, the fit and finish looks better than original factory.

Wow I'm jealous!

Good god that is beautiful

Right place at the right time, because you're spot on.

Pure awesome. Congrats!

Thanks guys. That drag car sounds like it would be a pure monster.

Sweet! Great find, right place, right time!

Definitely. I still have to do a double take when I open the garage door.

Took me longer than I care to admit to find out what that actually said....

Bhahahahaha! Don't worry I think you may be the only one that got it.

hahaha

Looks amazing for a "barn find"

4 speed, AC car too!

Awesome and congrats

It's got everything I wanted, the most sought after things too.

Congrats! Are you going to drive it?

I am, but not very much. I'll take it to shows mostly.

sweet mother of God....that car is so ****ing bad ass ....
